Default will proposed changes in ODI affect BD\'s progress?

Two major changes in ODI will be experimented in the near future regarding increase in fielding restriction overs to 20 and a player substitution. a substitute player can bowl or bat in the proposed changes. I am just wondering if these changes will benefit BD's play or should we expect more hammering for 20 overs instead of 15.
what do you think?

In the new rule of 20 over field restrictions.....there is also a distinction rule (1st 10 overs menditory and then 5+5 at any time)..........you should include this in your thread...

I think it will effect a bit.........there are some reasons:

1. in the propossed rules, captains need to play a huge roll in deciding when to apply field restrictions....as we are always a slow learner.....we will learn slowly.......

2. As per batting.......our batsman need to adjust well....because at any time fielding team can apply 5 over field restrictions.....at that time we need to attack.......whoever is batting (even JO .....then also need to turn it off when the restriction is off.........not easy to adapt for our batsman

3. Also....we find it difficult to score 200 regularly.....I think after is rule......most of the side will score 300 very often......our 200 score will be equivalent to 250.......Now the question is can we score 250+ with this new rule in ODIs regularly....??? Answer is.....with the batman like JO, Sumon (sorry to say, but i think after this rule he will find ODI difficult) we cant.....because field restriction does not matter to them.....

4. We can play five specialist bowlers as substitutuion allowed.....does it really matter?? What would have happenned if we had subtituted Taposh with Shahriar Nafess yesterday against Englang when we were bowling?? Nothing really...........
So, oppositions can make 400 if they bat well against us....

So, lots of negatives............

I am not finding much possitives for BD in the new rule......

One possitive about BD is that.....

We can play Enamul Hoque jr. every time at least in the matches at sub-continent. MD. Rafique and Enamul jr. together can make difference....

we can have Enamul as substitute and if we bat second we can easily substitute him with a batsman.

From your analysis, i can see these rules will be an advatage to a sronger team and a disadvantage to a weaker team as the fielding team will have the flexibility of changing the restriction overs and substittute players thoughout the game when it is required.
but we may not see many high scoring game as you suggested because the fielding side will be able to change the plan when they get hit after 10 overs. i think fielding plans will be decided on who is batting in the middle.

I think the fileding team will impose the 5 overs restrictions as soon as a wicket falls......no captain will impose it with two set batsmen.....

Now, think about Australia......to counter the plan.....they can send Symonds whenever the wicket falls......if another one falls they also have Clarke to hit out.

Now, Think about India.....they have Yuvraj and Dhoni to counter the thinking of the fielding captain if they lose a wicket....

I am saying stronger ODI teams will get more stronger as they already have hitters......

If we loose Ashraful suppose is 22nd over and the fielding team imposes restrictions.....do we have anyone to send to take advantage??

In the new rule captain and coaches responsibillty will increase a great deal because lot will depend on reading the game.........

those teams who have hitters can take advantage of the 5+5 over restriction.....

I think the new rule will widen the gap between the weak teams and the strong teams...
for example, Aussies have a lot of gr8 replacements for n e of their players....whereas we dont have n e replacement for mashrafee or ashraful.
So according to the need of the game...especially when it comes down to the wire.....the better teams will benefit....
So i regard the new rules to b biased for the betteroff countries

The scoring rate will increase for top teams like Australia or Pakistan. if 20 overs fielding restriction succeed then their average score will be 340.00 per innings.

and it could bring the danger for team like Bangladesh.

The best new change I'd say is more use of technology in umpiring decisions. For a weak team like ours, a single bad umpiring decision can ruin all our hopes. Maybe Hawk eye is not 100% accurate but its better than umpires.

Australia and India will be the most helpful in this new rule.............India's search for an all-rounder will be over......they will play 7 batsman and 5 strike bowlers.......

Also think about Australia......they will play 5 front line bowlers with their mighty batting line up.......

I think if you find the route you will find that Australian and Inidian officials were more keen to implement this changes.

The difference will just increase now.......

Player substition is a huge change in cricket. They can change players based on how things are going on the field.

Lets say while chasing runs if the top order gets out early they can bring in another batsmen in place of a bowler as a batsmen.

Also while fielding if a player gets hurt, the team either has to play with one man short, because if he leaves the field while fielding he cannot come in during batting and the sub will be batting instead.

If the sub can come in and leave the field on and off then it will be hard to say what will happen.

Definitely would be interesting to watch what will happen when these are put to effect.

i think ICC should make exception for BD and Zimbabwe. current rules should remain applicable when other team playing against us as it appears that the bottom 2 teams will struggle.

i think there is not much difference among the top 8 teams in ODI; anyone can beat anyone in a given day. the purpose of these changes is to make the game more exciting and interesting because of the boring period (i would say from 20-40 overs) in ODI.

If New-Zaeland and West Indies have not much difference with Australia and they can beat Aussies in a given day, then i would say on that given day Bangladesh can also beat Australia.

the odds for three teams when they played aussies last time:
newzealand 13-7
west indies 15-1
BD 100-1 (it was 500-1 before beating aussies)

doesn't it summerise the probability of beating aussies by these 3 teams in a given day?
