I am very excited about Shanto being our #3 for the future.
Just need to find a way to get Mosaddek into our XI.

Thanks, good to hear.

Oh ok make sense, but I think, would have wiser to start Saief Hasan lower down e order and bring him up slowly.

Not the worst decision but Saif is traditionally an opener and also a specialist batsmen. If you are in the team for batting only you need to bat higher. Although we have mithun so Saif can bat at 6 instead but i dont think he has the mentality to bat at 6.

Ideally, Saif should not be anywhere near the Test team atm. He should be working at A-team/Academy level to improve his footwork.
But things are far from ideal with no good longer version opener coming through pipeline. I would consider having Shanto open with Tamim, and have Shamsur Rahman at #3.

I would like give him at least 10 innings. If we can give Liton Das around 100 total innings for all formats who avg like 23, why not others?

Shadman is certainly looking a better option than Saif right now.
Shanto is doing too well at #3 to move him.

Don't think Shadman will be back by Karachi Test if he goes through shoulder surgery.
Most likely, Domingo will stick by Saif and let him fail at Karachi as well.
After Zim series, players will get busy with DPL. There will be an ODI and then one day to practice before Karachi Test. Not much Domingo can do anyway to prep an opener, Saif or otherwise.

Batsmen with poor footwork even get runs in English league. What worries me more is that he spent two summers in HP camp after graduating from U/19 - why have not the coaches helped him to improve his footwork?!
Nannu-Bashar get paid to watch players in action, not just to judge them by stats - how in the world they have not realized Saif is not ready for international cricket yet?!

Should have played another test in Pakistan rather than playing zim. They are just being minnows and our BC experts here are drooling.

This is good practice before playing Pak again. ZIM drew 1 game against Sri Lanka, and beat us last time.

Saif clearly not ready.. Would rather open with Shanto and get in Saifuddin in the lower order as an additional bowler.

might as well put liton as opener and put nurul at 7. That would be a whole lot better for the team.
