If that was a prerequisite then Soumya and Sabbir would never have been picked in tests to begin with

Which isn't a bad thing

None of our domestic leagues are always a true reflection of the players including BPL.

Mominul gone and hopes have evaporated

If we give Aus a target of 100, is it possible to get them all out inside 100 on this wicket? Wishful thinking I guess.

was thinking the same. What's the chance of 2 straight batting collapses for 2 straight tests?

A bit baffled why they put Nasir up the order as he is not of that quality. Although it is paying off some dividend as I dont think Mominul would have lasted this long.

I think Kayes should retire in Tests after this match or be forced to. I also hope this is the last time we see Nasir wearing the white jersey.

Miraz looks like a better Batsman than Soumya Sabbir Imrul

Because he is!

Definitely more potential than all 3 combined

He certainly has a better temperament for tests than Soumya and Sabbir. However, we should also keep in mind that he faces an old ball most of the time due to his batting position. So the ball isn't doing much by the time he comes on to bat.

He also has to face the second new ball. It's mushy and Sabbir who faces the old ball

If miraz has to face the old ball then it's a problem with our top order which is alarming

just before tea. classic. At least give them 3 figures and take 4-5 wickets to make a match of it.

We lost the game in the first innings when our top order collapsed to Lyon. Had we got that 70 run lead instead of Aus, we would have been the winning side. Simple.

And not in the second innings? 43/5 is poor

The ball was doing quite a lot by then, so it's understandable. You need to score as much run as possible in the first innings when the condition is the most batting friendly. Same mistake cost Aus the 1st test.

This was utter rubbish batting display from the top order. Main culprits are Tamim, Shakib, Sarkar and Kayes.
