Default What is the song played before National Anthem

Sorry if this is dup, could not find a better place to ask. In all Stadiums there is a theme played (sounded like Russian Fed song), very passionate one- anyone knows the name of this theme. This is played right before the national anthem (usually when flags are carried to the ground)I was at the gallery asking people but none could answer. One said it was from a hindi movie called virzara (or so). Thanks in advance!

People: Hindi movie copied this music and you are saying that ICC copied this!

In act ICC has been using his theme music for it's global events for couple of years. Music is so passionate, true I have recorded it few times and use it as a ringtone!

I think it's related to ICC's 'Thinkwise' program. I always watch the starting of every match only for this beautiful music!
Let's do some research.

Bangladeshis are way too obsessed with India. In an unhealthy way.

Back to your question, no Indian music. Its called Vangelis

i doubt its a hindi song. Ive heard the song being played on the top gear episode when they drove through the southern states of USA as background music but not sure of the origins of the song, could be country western? But not sure

Lol, I also thought this was Indian. I remember hearing it in some SRK movie named Koyla or Kayla.

This Vangelis tune has been my longtime fav...! Was pleasantly surprised to see it getting chosen for the pre-game ceremonies.

Thank you Amar and Tanvir. One of the most helpful output from the forum. The curiosity to know the source of the music had been bothersome (of not knowing). It is a mind boggling music indeedfficeffice" />
