^^ Apparently not. I guess once you're an IPL regular, you have graduated from age group cricket.

He would have been an asset for India in New Zealand.

I now see that he is picked for the T20Is versus Sri Lanka...

He is an exciting talent. A tall bowler...

I like that most of the young talents coming through in world cricket are mostly bowlers: Mujeeb, Rashid Khan, Shadab Khan, Sundar..

Pakistan Today: Pakistan under-19 team not so under-19
Quote:
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the team for next year’s U19 World Cup Tuesday that included the names of Captain Hasan Khan, along with Ahmad Alam, Imran Shah and Zaryab. The above-named players had all come under scrutiny during the selection process for last year’s U19 Asia Cup in which they were declared well over the age of 19 by then team physician Doctor Riaz.

If the named players are to go to the tournament next year, they could prove to be a real liability as the Event Technical Committee chairman has the right to call in any player for examination or confirmation of age at his discretion. The penalty for the presence of multiple age-related offenders may even amount to disqualification, a humiliating exit if there ever was one.

According to International Cricket Council (ICC) rules on age determination, “If more than one player from a team is found to be over age then IDI (ICC Development International, the commercial arm of the International Cricket Council) retains the right to disqualify the whole team and the chairman of the Event Technical Committee shall notify the IDI Board accordingly.”

Going to be an interesting WC. Shaw, Gill, baheer, breetzke are standout batsmen. Coetzee and ntini are pretty good bowlers as well as ishan porel. Of course eyes will be on mujeeb.

Yeah sorry it was just off the top of my head, yadram has done well at u19 level and kallicharan has been well hyped since he was about 14/15. Stewart at one point was well hyped to...

Another I forgot to mention with a lot of hype behind him is shaheen afridi.

I see a kid named Rachin Ravindra in the NZ squad, anyone know if that’s the kid who was batting on YouTube as a really young kid? Pretty sure his name was Rachin.

Now Sundar got call up to the ODI side as well.

There was a rumor last week that Shadab Khan would be called back to Pak U/19 team. Good to see both PCB and BCCI have the maturity to realize players of those caliber should not be held back in age group cricket.
