Default Pre-Match: BD v IND [28/3/14] | Discussion

What do you think the team needs to do for this match?
What's is the plan and stragety needed to win?
What starting XI would you go with for this match and why? Etc etc

Lots of problem with the team fielding being the biggest one atm. Batters are not performing; if they do, bowlers dont. if the bowlers do; batters dont. If the both do; fielders dont. Never ending, going in circle!

Tamim is not looking good, out of form, needs to to be dropped. But, I'd play him and go with 3 openers for this game. So that will be Tamim, Shamsur and Anamul. Because, we lose early wickets most times, wont be bad idea going with the openers at the top, anamul played at 3 before.
Also, It wouldnt be such a bad idea to send ziaur as an opener for some pinch hitting; to get off to a good start if we are chasing 170+ - I dont think the team has the brain to think that way though.

I'd play Gazi, Mullah, because Ind has quite few lefties, Dhawan being at the top. So, it could do us good having two right arm spinners (hopefully)

My XI would be this:

Tamim
Shamsur
Anamul
Mushy
Shakib
"T20 specialist" (Shabbir)
MammaDulla
Banglar Hulk (Ziaur)
Gazi
Banglar Tiger (Mortaza)
Banglar future hopeful death bowling great (Al Amin)

With Mushfiq as captain, we will loose this match for sure.. We will not bowl out our best bowler, try a new bowler on the 19th bowler, spread out the field when a new batsman walks in to relieve the pressure. Basically do everything possible to make the opponent feel comfortable and run away with the game.
If Mushy has any dignity left, he should step down before the match.

The future is bleak

The chances of BD qualifying is slim and I hope there will be no pressure on us now.

Yeap not only him I think the IND opening pair will regain their confidence scoring aggressively...I think we have another chance of bundled out with the Misra Ashwin and Jadeja good spins..who knows even Shami and Kumar will share all the wickets...

This will be a tough game, all departments have to click, batting, fielding, seam and spin. Only one of them did in the west indies game.

[Off-Topic]. Good to see you take part on the BC section, and post. Never seen you posting on any BC section threads before.

Back, to the topic

I think India are the favourites (quite obviously), and the mighty India batting will score 200 if its a flat highway batting 1st. India should win this comprehensively BD are on a all time low-confidence.
kohli will continue his never ending heavy runs scoring against BD. Has an Ind batter ever scored a T20 ton? If not, this might be just the match one of them do

Hoping for, another toss win! Need to bowl 1st no matter what we cant defend anything against the mighty Ind batting line up.

Bowl first, bring Spinner on to open with a pacer. Try Change things around mushy need to learn that. One of the must-targets should be to be pumped up at them (least, show your fully up for it if you cant do all-3 aspects of the game well)
I'd even go as far as telling Mortaza, Ziaur, Shakib to have few words with the batters when bowling (within the limits ofcause) - try to rattle them.
Its a way we might have a chance to win if they get rattled and lose their heads trying to smash our bowlers out to the near by Ind state!

InshAllah!!!
Never say never!!!

Team:
Tamim
Anamul (wk)
Shamsur
Shakib
Mushy
Riyadh
Nasir
Zia
Shabbir
Gazi
Alamin

No specialist spinner other than Shak needed. With dew and lack of slowness in the pitch, I would opt with tidbits spinner like Gazi, Riyadh, Nasir, Shabbir and then 2 pace option of Zia and Alamin. I would like to see a batting heavy side.....even our best 5 full time bowlers can't take 5 wkts; so why bother?

No Mushy behind the wickets....he's just too injury prone and having too hard a time having to deal with the match situation....ruining both his jobs in the end.....we need him to solely focus on captaincy.

And, no Mash pls......he is just too much of a liability with his injury and lack of fitness and can break down and totally disrupt pre-planned bowling changes by Mushy and co.

Dear Naim,

We have been experiencing "break or make" points ever since we received ODI and Test status. I have a feeling we'll keep on seeing such make or break points for decades to come.

My honest opinion is: Bangladesh should withdraw itself from world cricket ASAP. In 14 years, we could not make ourselves a threat not even to associates. Any associate teams can beat us. Its a shame for a nation.
