2nd Test in Lahore.
Day-1 stumps
South Africa 259/6
Prince 63, Kallis 59 -- Kaneria 2-73
Quite a regular first day, I would say.

May be not ..Pak pitches are generally batting paradises (pushing for a draw) ..in that sense Pak has an edge over SA after day 1

SA bowled out for 357 (125.1 overs)
In response, Pak, once again enroute to their typical show. 140/4 (37 overs)
Younis Khan flopped after a strong opening partnership. Inzi and Mezba fighting in the middle. Oh well, another defeat on the cards, I guess.

South Africa is no more one-dimentional with the left-arm spinner Haris in the squad. He seems to be good spinner.. good find.

I think SA is wasting valuable time here. They are already into the 4th day and they have been scoring at 1.2 runs an over for the last 10 overs. One would expect them to score fast and hand it over to Pakistan with a good lead.

SA set to declare at tea ... 211-2 ... GS-100*(12) ... JK-69* ... 2nd session, D4 ... SA overly cautious about hujurs Inzi and Yusf, not to mentions Misbah, Malik and YK ...

Ashwell Prince > SUM(Golla Belim:Rajin Saleh)*glorified version = still painfully boring to watch ...

Butt out cheaply ... typical খোঁচা-খুঁচি ...
Quote:
5.3 Ntini to Salman Butt, OUT, And he is gone now. Short in length, on the middle and off, angling away, Salman couldn't resist the urge to play away from the body and edges it to third slip. SA breakthrough.
Salman Butt c sub (SM Pollock) b Ntini 6 (16b 1x4 0x6) SR: 37.50

YK and KA at the crease ... 27-1

60/1....not bad.....but then there is one entire day to go and we know how fragile Pakistan's middle order is.
