Aftab, Ashraful, Bashar - these are stroke makers, who play shots often. The initial overs need to be survived. Tehrefore survival is more vital than scoring runs initially in order to play 50 overs and put up a good score in the end. I think thats's why Aftab wasn't sent at No. 3.
