I always thought why we never learn from anything. as homo-sapiens we are smart enough to learn from our mistakes.

In my years of experience of being BD cricket fan I think lack of accountability is the reason our players dont learn anything.

majority of our fans are really happy with flashy 50s etc. when liton goes to his town he will only hear praises for his 94. no one will say a word about how he left the team in a bit of wobble with mominul out. when he hears only words like well played, good innings, you are the best etc these players thing that this is enough. I dont need to evolve

It’s a combination of different factors.

- Lack of accountability is a big factor especially when it comes to players who know their place in the team is cemented.

- Culture of lack of professionalism. This usually stems from seniors who should mentor the team. You don’t see many senior batsman talking to junior batsman for example.

- Batting coaches to some extent. Many might argue that a coach cannot play for a batsman, but I find it so strange how batsman make same mistakes again and again? Their weakness remains a weakness

- Also batsman take it easy after scoring some runs. They kind of think job done when they leave the fish half cooked on one side and play some silly shot or get run out due to lapse of concentration

- Also like you said our fans and media are also to blame. They send these guys to the moon. Even in this game, Liton didn’t even get to a 100 and the labels of comparing him with other great players starts

Also they might be homosepian but act like homoeructus by how they play.

sometimes these players don’t even fall in that Darwin’s progression chart, when players are called other animals like bolod, gadha, goru, and chagol

Good recovery with the bat by Mominul and Liton. This was a flat track, but Bangladesh was at a disadvantage losing three wickets for 81 runs in the previous day. They needed a big partnership.

The next test will be in Mirpur. That will be a bigger challenge. Sri Lanka have done well there in the tri series. This is a different format. However, whichever team can exploit the pitch well will have the upper hand.

I wanna know who wanted to 'pounce' on masuk?

In America, they all called Obama the first Black president.

I seriously don't want to veer it off topic. You are complicit AF too lol but..

NO! Please don't say "they all". Democrats and Liberals don't define rest of the America. It's only Hollywood bumbling bimbos who award Aziz Ansari as the first "muslim" so and so or black people as first "black person" to win an Oscar disrespects us -or rather themselves- more so. As one wrote in Facebook comment: "Didn't know it was minority award show"

That is the whole point we from the right are trying to make. Set the bar for yourself a little FFS. Sad that our encouraging positive message gets lost in the tone and process.

Some baffling comments from Riyad:

"I think batsmen from both sides did well. I don't know how he said it wasn't a good wicket for Test cricket. I think we have to ask him what type of wicket he wants. Test match is always hard - whether it was a batting-friendly, spin- or pace-friendly wicket. Batsmen from both sides dominated the game. The run rate was quite good. I think it was a good wicket."

Gotta question his knowledge of the game after these comments.
