Go easy on them. They will develop the required facilities with time and new funding. Atm they need our help, not criticism

I agree with you. If necessary BCB or any local Bangladeshi/other restaurants can arrange foods. We should not criticize Ireland at this phase.

Well the Irish board should at least try to honor what was agreed upon on the MoU. Hey Donal man, where's the famous Irish hospitality? Guinness alone does not a meal make

It ll bug the BD think tank. Because they need a lot more adjusting to conditions than their other two counterparts.

Damn. Even the Kiwis have threatened not to tour Ireland again. They must be really pissed off.

Not to piss off Mr Donal or the Irish fans, but who are the players to look out for in Ireland?
Seems like most of the core players are approaching end of their careers. I can draw parallel with Kenya who too had superb first team players like Tikolo, Odumbe, Odoyo, Shah, Patel-but no one good enough to replace them.
And now this question about lack of practice facility etc. I can guarantee you international teams would have been given better training facility in Bangladesh in the 1990's-well before getting test status.

None of these issues are as critical as empty stadiums. I am sure they can fix the facilities with the money they are about to receive from ICC. However if there is a general lack of interest with the public over Irish Cricket, there wont be a future after the current crop of players retire.

Exactly!! That's what I said to Donal in another thread, to me development in cricket is something I really want in Ireland but the first criteria is to see people filling up the stadiums. Or even half the stadiums, I understand the passion is not the same as subcontinent but come on, you want matches, you want more cricket and you are telling me eventhough you got two international teams coming to play yet you cant fill up the stadiums? To me, that is just not enough. I would have liked to see atleast crowds of 10,000 in the stadium. I can't understand the lack of interest there though, considering they are so close to England. A little disappointed, but hoping to see more crowd participation in the upcoming matches, fans like Donal surely deserve more matches there.

I think many Irish still see cricket as a quintessentially English sport. Because of that maybe a lot of Irish folks don't want anything to do with it. But I might be wrong.

In terms of passion for cricket, Afghanistan is way ahead. Their fans are crazy for cricket but unfortunately they wont have home games in Afghanistan's soil.
