Thik kichhu bapper na chaileo korte hoi but eta totally depend kore bride or groom tader position e kotota shokto thake... My hubby simply hates gaye holud programs.. He never attends one and he refused to sit on a stage for hours just to make him look more horrible as time passes... he he... but that's just him... I wanted a mini holud program for myself but I made a strict budget... of course I saved a lot on stage decoration and alpona as I did it all by myself... My brother took care of the band / DJ part and photography... Yeah gold costs a lot so I just strictly told both my families if they are really planning on buying gold then not to give me more than 1 set of gold as they are totally useless for me.. Like as I said if you plan and if you know where to buy your stuffs from then you can have a wonderful wedding within limited budget... I know where gladiator's budget coming from as nowadays that's the norm it seems but I simply hate to spend so much in a program which most people will forget eventually..

by the by, we speak of expensive gold at desi weddings, obviously westerners don't do that sort of thing, but taara toh duniar taka spend kore on engagement rings. Thousands and thousands of dollars on diamond/platinum rings - big fat rocks.
