Clones of players that you would like to see in our team
Many a times, we have heard the excuses that we do not have any Tendulkar or Sehwag or Ponting and that is why we lose. Clearly, those guys are once-in-a-life-time material. So, I would wish for a bit low profile players, who are effective and with our system, it is not impossible to create clones of them.
Ryan ten Doeschate
When I was looking him playing in the world cup, I was always feeling like having him in our team. He plays the role of a near-perfect #4. He can play both pace and spin with ease, can defend the ball, can hit it for biggies, most of the time he has very good temperament. His only problem is, he becomes a bit impatient if he fails to score for long period.
Kemar Roach
He is in my favourite list because of his attitude. He has been one of the few positives from the WI strike. He has a great attitude towards the game, understands the situation pretty well, works on his strengths and supports his team mates. Rubel and Shafi are very much capable of being as good as or even better player than Roach if they work on their strengths without giving away easy runs to opponents.
Ashish Bagai
A very very capable wicket keeper that takes responsibility with his leadership and bat when it matters.
Peter Borren/Kevin O'Brien
These are the allrounders that will solve our powerplay problems. They can bowl, they can bat and they can score pretty quickly.

A Wasim or Waqar would be nice. Even a Malinga. I'll take Roach for 100 please. beggars can't be choosers.
For batting: We can not be consistant with 20s 30s average players. We need at least two 40+ average player in the top order. That needs commitment. Jaharul's average was 39. I know that was his start of his career but he played overseas. Bonus: He is a tall Wicket keeper who can jump, so bouncers wouldn't go over his head.

T_E bhai,
Wasim and Waqar are also extra-ordinary. You are right about the average thing. Sir Ash is a prime example for that.

Okay I don't want Wasim, give me an Ameer, I will not complain anymore. What a player he is even with the bat.

I would say Rizwan Cheema, as he would be the ideal #7/8 for a developing team, has the ability to smash a team with his bat and can put in handy 7-8 overs every game.
Then I would say Kervezee, a very high quality batsman, whose potentials weren't fulfilled in the world cup.
Also i would like to see a clone of Hamid Hassan[or the Afghani bowler who bowls at 90mph]
But if we had to chose one player from outside the test arena, it would easily be Ryan Ten Doeschate.

Suresh Raina. He is not getting chance regularly in Indian lineup.
N Ojha of Rajastan Royal. He will be a good replacement for Mushy.
TenDoeschate
Albie Morkel:-)
Virat Kohli
Some fast bowlers taken from ____gaon village of Pakistan.

RTD would be a welcome change in our team.
We badly need a pace bowling allrounder in the team.
Too too many spinner/batsman.
Wayyy too many SLAs.

Why is it a stupid thread? If you give me a valid reason, it might be helpful for me opening/ not opening threads like this in the future.
I like each of the names proposed above, Ameer, Hamid Hassan, Kervezee, Raina, Naman, Cheema, Yusuf and others.....players like them can easily fit into the roles that we currently do not have proper solutions.

I have an excellent plan, as we are talking about cloning, we should invite the following 11players and breed them with our women, 20 years from now we will have a world class team.

Yusuf Pathan. It's a shame seeing a player like him being constantly underutilized in international cricket.

That actually does not work. A cricket genius's child does not usually become another cricket genius.

Right. Pathan is a top 5 material. If he batted higher, fantasy cricket leagues would be easier.

What if all the children are girls?
Oh, I guess we can make a world class women's cricket team.
BUT, what if half of them are boys and the other half girls? We will be left with semi-world class women's and men's team! YAY
