It's not the thread. It is the supporters who are dying. And it is a slow death. Of course, someone will score 30 odd and we will say he is just short of world class.

This BD rot of losing early wickets has to stop. It just belittes the true batting and bowling talent available on tap in the team.
I think Bd need an Akash Chopra type opener to just see of the shine so that the genuine middle oerders can compile a total. I feel that the BD bowling, esp the wealth of slow stuff, can defend a 230 total... just that BD never get there

BD has improved in test in 5 years. In ODIs, they have not progressed much.

i guess javed omar can be the akash chopra type of opener that bd need. however, bd also needs to have a attacking opener as well.

Reading through your posts here, I think BD have some of the best fans in world cricket

There is no way that we can go. It's just lack of our mentality. I am afraid that our player's just not giving their 100% for their game. I still can remember how Rajin played mentally against Aus and Pak. We only can produce something when we can provide mental game to the opposition contineously

please! Please stop pushing the balls. Even cross batting out will give us more comfortable feeling compare to getting out by pushing the ball.

They have to play the balls on merit. And at 30/3 it is not exactly a good idea to play cross batted shots.

Of course at this stage Ashraful cannot play his natural game... he's lost all his supposedly sheet anchor partners.

I totally agree with that. But what I mean that they should not get out by pushing the balls and cathes to slip or wicket keeper

bd batsman 1st have to believein themselves. a 300ish score against HK could have gone on a long way in increasing BD confidence and BD will get a chance to play a team weaker than them only in the 2005 asia cup.
i do think omar and ash would be a perfect opening pair with bashar at no.3

Batsmen are shell shocked. They are already thinking of the brickbats they will receive after this match.
