I watched highlights of Jahurul's 150 odd in swinging/seaming conditions in UK. And of course I've watched his innings for BD. He definitely has it in him to play international cricket. Eager to see Marshall batting.

Yeah I think Sohel's being incredibly harsh on Omi. Whether he *will* be successful or not is a whole different topic, but he *can* do it. Even his 40 odd vs Eng in Bristol was fine, looked fairly comfortable. I wouldn't group him with Nazim or Rock surely.

We actually shouldn't group Rock with Jahurul or Nazim. At one time, Rock was a regular for our team for quite a while. Of course it was longer than it should have been but Rock made an instant impact with his 50's against the likes of India and South Africa. In 2008 and 2009 he was one of our most reliable batsmen. Unfortunately he went downwards after and now is completely out of the picture but at least at one point in his career he was a regular. Jahurul has yet to even establish that yet in his chances with the national team.

I also believe Jahurul can succeed at this level. Our players problems are not the ability but the mental attitude. They often lose confidence once going up against stronger competition and fall away despite having ability. That's the real question we have to bring up with Marshal. Does he have the right attitude to be successful in international cricket? If he does, then I don't see why he can't succeed.

Most of our players debut before 20 without being matured mentally. In this point, Marshall Ayub may be different from others. He is now mid 20s and have played a lot of matches in domestic cricket. But it is not easy to predict before starting his international carrier. Some can do good from their early age like Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan etc. Some can do good around 30s.

Oh my god, I hope he's not the guy I saw today. Though to be fair, too low down the order, plus slow pitch, but still, wow.

What I like about the BPL is that it exposes crapshack domestic heroes like Marshall Ayub and their pathetic frailties against decent-quality opposition. Owais Shah made Nabil Samad and Sanjamul Islam look completely ineffective. This is what's required - remind these guys that they're not yet international quality, and hopefully they take their game to the next level.

They can't take their game to the next level unless we play overseas against Quality opposition.

The only good thing about the BPL for many of our purely statistical geekfesting fans: the opportunity to actually watch our domestic heroes and put their numbers in context. That's right, the numbers are THAT meaningless when it comes to assessing a player's sustainable performance at the highest level, because our domestic "FC" and "List A" cricket is THAT casual and low quality.

^Indeed. Let's actually watch a whole tournament, this or any other, in the hope that a Maruti Suzuki will morph into a Ferrari. HOW runs are scored matters because that kind of context gives us a better idea as to whether the player can withstand the significantly higher quality cricket at the highest level

Can't say anything about him watching him in just one T20 match where he bated at no.8
and it was his 1st TV match lol so,there was a lot of pressure on this man and he came in to bat in a difficult situation............also the pitch wasn't good for bating and Abul took an awsome catch.

My fear after watching him fight with the bat: he'll become Marshal "Bekub" faster than Shahriar became a "Mofees". It gives me no pleasure in saying that

i don't think so........he can also be a good bowler as well,i like his bowling action.
And m still verry much optimistic.
U can't say anything;he is in an awsome form with the bat in the 'Test' format but now he is bating at no.8(where usually hard-hiter batsmen bat in the T20 format)
how funnyyyyyy !!!!
