I have a work-related telecon tonight at 10 PM! Not much before the game starts.

Momentum is overrated. WI did not lie down after two losses. Our boys are plenty tough. They won't either...

I'd like Anamul to drop down to 3 soon. He'd be perfect for number 3 and wants to bat there too. But we just gotta find a opener first. If one of JS, Jislam, SN, Naza, Bhim would get their act together!

1. Win the toss.
2. Bowl first.
3. Choke 'em with spin from ball 1.
4. The more discomfort they feel, the more aggressive you get with your field setting and thereby force them to take chances.
5. DON'T DROP CATCHES.
6. Restrict them below 225.
7. See the ball, move your feet put together a slow and steady opening partnership of 100+. Let time pass and make dew more of a factor.
8. Rotate the strike frequently and make it impossible to grip the wet and slippery ball being played along the ground.
9. Have enough wickets in hand to play more aggressively from the 40th over and win by the 47th.
10. Win the series.
11. Party.

where did we whitewashed NZ ???
where did we beat SL and India to reach the finals of Asia Cup ??? also didn't we chase 290 to beat india also ???
where will we beat WI in the 5th ODI and clinch the series ???
if we play well ...... ground doesn't matter we will win,
if we dont play well and let opponents play well again ground does not matter we will loose

They score 150+ we will choke while chasing with "everything" at stake. MMW. You gotta take em out of the game. We let them grow their wings, stop doing that!
Trash em. Isn't that why we have 8 spinners in the line up? Be more creative Mushy! Bowl all of them! 100>.

We need Tamim and Bijoy to click together and build a solid foundation, Nasir and Shourobh to contribute, and Mushfiq and Riyad to finish. We're capable of chasing 300 if that kind of cohesion happens for us. Hopefully we won't have to chase more than 225.

I don't think batting second is a good idea for BD because:
1. Under lights WI pace attack is getting a lot more assistance while the dew hasn't really neutralized the spin threat. So we will make our lives more difficult against both spin and pace.
2. Scoreboard pressure. With Mushy's dumb captaincy we will never manage to go for the kill even if WI are 5 down for less than a hundred. The result will be no matter what WI will cross 200 and we will give in to scoreboard pressure.
Hence i say we bat first and aim 250 and then choke them with spin

Whatever happens, we need a good opening partnership and one opener needs to make a 100. Then we'll score close to 300 and crush WI. WI is a good side, but not as good as in the 4th match.

Sad, but accurate. Habibul Bashar did the same thing 2007 WC. Also againt WI. They were 67-3 after 25 overs. Any smart captain would have gone for the kill, but Bashar went for defense. WI managed 163 for 2 in the last 25 overs. Not going for the jugular is a Mushfiqur specialty as well.

mushfiq is more worried abt how to finish 50 ovrs! That's why they dont go 4 kill.

just passing by and one idea in the head just knocked in. what was proposed ODI team of Bangladesh a year ago, in the same time, search the forum and found this thread :
http://banglacricket.com/alochona/sh...ad.php?t=39255
it might be against the series of Pakistan in Dec 2011. as someone might not have the interest looking into the thread, i pick up the glance was playing Imrul in opening, most of the suggestion even throwing our tamim but Imrul is there. like this one :
tamim
imrul
naeem
riyad
mushy
shakib
nasir
forhad
razzak/sunny
nazmul/shafiul
rubel
another one:
1. Tamim
2. Imrul
3. Naeem
4. Mushy
5. Shakib
6. Riyad
7. Nasir
8. Reza
9. Sunny
10. Nazmul
11. Rubel
so where are we heading after one year ?? still in the same position ???
