Your 2015 ODI BanglaCricket XI

World Cup is done and dusted. Some BD fans might be dissapointed with the quarter finals outcome, some are proud of what we achieved in this world cup and some well are petitioning for the ICC to be renamed as Indian Cricket Council hehe.

Anyways i guess it's time to move on because now its in the past and focus for what is ahead because 2015 is a big year. We will have a lot of opportunity this year to show how good we are to the world.

And to do that we need to settle on a lineup that is perfect for Bangladesh. Who do you think should be in the team? We can compile a BC XI which is pretty much a lineup for the Bangladesh team decided by the fans via voting polls.

I did a similar thing 3 years ago and this is the team that majority of members on BC decided on at that time. http://banglacricket.com/alochona/sh...t=41173&page=2

So basically what will happen I will set up an individual poll for who should be the opening batsmen for Bangladesh, no. 3 batsmen, no. 4 batsmen etc. From this everyone will have an opinion on who should be in the Bangladesh Cricket team. At the end we will have a BanglaCricket XI.

Every poll we will have 5 days to vote. After those 5 days whoever gets voted the most gets the spot in the team. The first poll will be for the opening batting pair.

One good thing from last time is that from last XI only Jahurul is gone truly, that means our core team is staying same..Nazmul is fallen to injury and Razzak to age.

exactly. There is a clear nucleus and now we are just finding other players to fill the gaps.

one thing to note at that time anamul was the wildcard pick of the team.

I won't vote in favor of Tamim now for obvious reasons. I want to see him hungry for runs, not hungry for Biriyani.

Cheers boss. Had plans to do it before but was banned so yeah didn't happen. Always figured i should start it again after world cup.

Ill try do this on a yearly basis, it will give a good indication of what the fans think the best team was at that point in time. And 5 years down the track we can look back and analyse how much our team has progressed in terms of players coming thru.

anamul is injured... haturi persisted with anamul throughout the world cup. What makes you think Haturi won't pick anamul when he is available for selection?

^^With the ease our current top three (Tamim-Soumya-Riyad) take on the some of the best pacers in the world (Wahab Riaz included), I see Anamul has a lot of catch up to do, if he wants to compete with them.

Also, without him we have much better chance to reach 300+ than we do with him.

Also, I see popular vote went here for Jubair (an unproven performer in ODI), where as in reality Arafat Sunny doing a terrific job carrying out the specialist spinner duties.

yeah ofc. But we can't judge how anamul would have played because he hasn't played in this series. He could have been doing well. We don't know.

arafat has been superb in domestics for such a long time he deserves to be in the team.
