Interesting to see that the first independence day greeting was posted in this message board by a non-bangladeshi. Is it because we are oblivious as a nation to remember our glorious memories?

Sriti Shoudha(national monument of Bangladesh) reminds of those who sacrificed their lives for the independence. Situated at Savar near Dhaka, it's a tourist spot too.

zunaid i checked out the link u pasted here. I had no idea that deaths amounted to millions. I was under the impression that it would be a very small number......
The site is very informative with images. In india although we deal with bangladesh in history text books the number of deaths as such is never quoted.
Anyway today is a happy day and there shouldn't talk to deaths..
