I hope that match didnt get ODI status, that would ruin the records book. By the way is Alam of Bangladeshi or Pakistani descent.

How about being a Nepali ? I guess you will be surprised to know that over one million Muslims live in Nepal.

I would say Afghanistan is more like India and Pakistan at this level, an over hyped team that got spanked by a mediocre team.

Singapore v Japan, last match of Group B, is on play... Singapore need a great win to lift their NRR from -0,11 to +1,64 to by-pass Afghanistan on 2nd place of the final table of the group.

This is last update:
Japan v Singapore at Victoria College.
Toss: Japan
Singapore 89-2 (10 overs)
Japan

On group A Nepal v USA are playing: Nepal are 78/5 after 24 overs.
Both teams are already qualified and the match is decider for which team will end on top of the table.

Update:

Nepal 182 all out (50.0 overs)
USA

Let's see if Nepal powerful bowling attack can defend the target from USA good batting side.

Japan v Singapore at Victoria College.
Toss: Japan
Singapore 201 (35.4 overs) CR Suryawanshi 57, CR Kumarage 41, Y Matsubara 4-53
Japan 12-0 (3 overs

Not the best of score for Singapore, maybe Afghanistan can reach semifinals.

Singapore beat Japan by 52 runs (D/L method) but that was not enough to reach 2nd place on the table.
Nepal v USA was finally abandoned.

So today semifinals are played:
Nepal v Afghanistan
USA v Jersey

...the winners will also be qualified for WCL Division 4 to be played next september.

Nepal's fifth wicket (Malla) has fallen. Looks like Afghans are going to defend their paltry total.

Afghanistan 142 all out (49.3 overs)
Nepal 51-5 (28.4 overs)
