He needs to change our players eating habit and tell players like Sakib and Junaid to gain some more weight and muscles, that way they can do power hitting with minimal casualties !

Really glad to see a professional like him given the job, I hope he will improve the players fitness as some tough schedules are ahead of us.

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist ??
God! what is that?

Anyways, i'm not too sure about his appointment.
He certainly does not have a shiny resume to boast about. Plus his inexperience with a top(!) international team concerns me. He'd soon become a "Ulo bone sheyal raja" in our team and might want to use his theory rather than the proven ones.

Tutoring a junior academy team is not the same as tutoring a national team with few highly fragile players who are always on the spotlight. This spotlight issue might get the better of him and im afraid his decisions could adversly affect our players.

Well, he is an Aussie, so i'll give him a benefit of doubt .

Welcome aboard mate.

Hope he will be good for our young boys. Almost similar age will allow the players to have a better communication as well.

If he's 26, it means he's only been physio for 5 years maximum..I wouldn't rate experience of some junior rugby club very highly , or being physio of a local queenslans footy team. But as long as he knows what he's doing, hopefully he can keep our players , esp fast bowlers like mash, fit. Overall fitness depends on the individual players more than the physio. Physio can only educate them.

heh!

I think we may set some record for the youngest TEAM (players + staff) ever. I can't think of any old guy involved with our team even if I tried.

New Bangladesh physio hospitalised with head injury

Dhaka, Dec 21 (bdnews24.com) – Michael Laurence Henry, the new physiotherapist of Bangladesh, suffered a serious head injury during the Tigers' practice session on Sunday at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

The Australian physio, who replaced South African Darryn Lifson from London-based rugby team Skolars Rugby League Club on Dec. 15, was hit on the forehead by a direct throw from wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim during fielding practice.

He was taken to Apollo Hospital, given 13 stitches and had a CT scan. He was under observation at the hospital.

"He is now out of danger as the CT scan revealed no internal bleeding. However, since it is a head injury, doctors decided to keep him under observation for 24 hours," said Shafiqul Haque Heera, the manager of the national team.

Heera added Henry was unmindful of the throw as he was looking at another ball when the throw hit him.

After practising in the indoor complex for the first two days, the cricketers had a nets session for the first time on Sunday afternoon.

The pitches looked fine despite being covered for a few days in the wake of a dense fog.

Reminds me, once my car broke down and i had to call those towing trucks.
Sitting next to the drivers while my car being towed, i asked him, "mate, who tows your truck if it break downs ?"
