I'm having extreme difficulties opening the forum pages today, specially the WC and BD cricket forums. I thought it's my internet connection, but I've tried several other pages, and they all work just fine. I'm getting worried about WC, what will happen then?

Inshallah . One more thing is, during WC many of our members will be in WI, and some will be away for watching in groups. That way we may actually expect lesser users?

And it's blazingly fast. My pages are loading in less than a second.

If you don't mind, can we also get an idea about what the upgrade was? Like, are we using a different server altogether? Or is it the same server with upgraded memory and other stuff?

Oh my BC, I missed you baby

Thumbs up BanglaCricket made history

BC has made history today, by serving a record number of users on BC: Most users ever online was 344, Today at 11:29 AM.

We are now ready for the WC. But all of us should be responsible enough, and make sure we don't refresh pages every few seconds. Inshallah, soon we'll see 400/500 users' records during the WC.

BC can get in trouble for fake clicks. Dont do that. The idea is, people will click on it coz it interests them, and once they are at the sponsor site, they wont leave the site immediately, thats how they recognize fake clicks. Lets not go there.

Nasif bhai/ Mahmood bhai, I was tied up all day and couldnt follow the match. However around 4:15-4:30EST I tried going into the forums and chat from my uni library computer. Neither worked due to heavy traffic, firefox kept showing "Problem occured when accessing site" and it was a bit disconcerting. I've noticed most posts here have said that the bc server held up well. Thats good to know, but it kinda sucks that I couldnt experience that. Which brings me to the question: for match threads during WC games, are you making any policy that the thread will be locked and only chatroom allowed? Just thought I'd ask.

Some of us Stay on Campus where IRC is blocked. I'm still sure there were people in the chatroom but i like the chat room for those 30-60 members who enjoy chat(like me) but BC had 500 people viewing the match thread imagine 500 people in the chat room? Chaotic

you did say uni library? I bet you they block the ports 6660-6669 to get on IRC (aka BC chat)

They prolly do. But I couldnt get into the forums either at that moment. Traffic was just too heavy I guess. After all it was around the time the game ended, and the updates came that we'd won. Just wanted to let it be known. Hopefully I wont be stuck in next time

Sorry im a bit late on congratulationg you guys..but man..havent you done a great job.
BC server held up just fine during the BD-NZ game.. and it was lighting fast as well.

I guess we'll hv less number of people than anticipated during the BD matches during the wc..as most of us will be busy watchin it on tele..

But having 424 people on the same time was a great feat of its own...
surely we are growing bigger and bigger every day...

Simply superb work guys...
