I don't understand. Sri Lanka just recently done really well against the mighty South Africans. With a bit of luck, they could've quite easily defeated us, and Afghanistan are a fast and upcoming side. Maybe they need a break from the sport, who knows?

Most of the analysis after the BD SL match was how poor SL have become rather than how good BD have become.

I think they did have bad luck with the catches and they could have easily beaten us. But I think they are just going through a bad patch like BD did when we were losing to lesser known Associates. Lucky they have Haturi who took over our team in similar conditions of disarray.

I think the way they lost to Bangladesh kind of demoralised them a but. Then there was the issue with the heat. Also the senior players looked quite tired especially Malinga

They need a Mashrafi. Angelo Mathews is like Mushfiq as a captain and doesn't know when to seize the initiative. If we put Mushfiq in charge right now we will start losing again guaranteed.

We wouldn't be as bad as SL under Mushy. SL are losing by 100+ runs under Mushy in 2014 we just choked at the final stages of matches.

There is nothing wrong with the coach. A manager can only be as good as his team.

The greatest contribution made by Haturasinghe was to get rid of over hyped and under performing experienced players like Razzaq and giving chances to talented players who deserved their chance 2 years prior (Sabbir, Soumya, Jubair etc).

It's true when I saw the analysis hosted by Harsha Bhogle. The discussion was why doesn't someone like Matthews bat at three or four? he's one of their best batsman along with Chandimal, but they bat lower than usual. Matthews has been ordinary in the last few years. Before then, he use to be really good.

Giving chance and sticking with them even after few failures to be confident and finally deliver.

No one thought we could do anything at CT, grouped with REDHOT NZ, and SUPERHOT HOST Eng.

Mashrafee has this inspiration factor that other leaders don't necessarily have regardless of their tactical skills. Shakib is not that bad as a thinker or as a tactician, However he or Mushfiq don't inspire the team at the same level as Mash does, and that little sprinkle goes a long way. 2014 we had more or less same players minus Sabbir Rahman and Fizz...

To date, he's still the best coach we ever had.

He arrived at the right time and left at the right time.

Sri lanka is a good team. They just need some minor tweaks.
Chandimal needs to be the captain.
Mendis should not open.
Have a proper batsmen like dickwella play instead of an allrounder.
