If that was the plan, then they could have send mashrafe up the order...or even Mosaddek to do a Sunil Narine.

I think it's about to be official:

Quote:
16:32 Local Time, 15:32 GMT, 21:02 IST: Again the official stadium announcer says he has no information and thanks the folks for waiting patiently. And my ever eager to escape from office colleague - Vineeth tells me that the presentation boards have been put up which he feels are "good signs". You have to get the drift, don't you. So there you go then. Don't go too far. We might be done for the day.

They might as well cover the whole of Ireland in a massive tarpaulin...otherwise cricket will never take off there.

And I always thought it was super rainy in Bangladesh, what with all the flooding every couple of years.

Reserve days should be made mandatory for any limited overs cricket series.

Over 100 inches every year on the average. 0.3 inches per day. In parts of Newest England (Sylhet), averages over 300 inches. Those are mind boggling #s.

CI:
4:50 pm: Its very bad news I'm afraid. We have just seen the two captains shake hands and the game has been called off. There has just been too much rain and it just hasn't stopped.

The Irish bag a freebie on account of the rain.

Why is it that the rain comes to save the Irish when they playing against us AGAIN??

There is no need to tell them anything. They would have batted like that anyways. After all, they smelled blood scoring menacingly in the practice games.

Winning this game would not have made a difference to Bangladesh anyway. We wouldn't have gained any ranking points. The trick is not to lose to Ireland and to beat New Zealand at least once.

By the way, has Mashrafe effectively served his one match suspension in spite of the no-result today?

I think so. The match wasn't abandoned without play.
