Federer wins the 2nd set, 7-5 - Murray looked the better player in that set, but paid the price like Fed did in the 1st set.

They've closed the roof, and play has restarted

Hate these stupid delays...they completely ruin the flow of the match.

The beginning of the end for Murray I fear. He really is unlucky, any other era and he would have already won a slam, but he lives in the age of Federer, Nadal and Djokovic

So is Agassi and Ivanisevic. It was Samprass showback then. Specially Agassi. He would'be won lot more title if Samprass wasn't there..

Yeah but Agassi still won 8 Grand Slams, and he had a couple of years in semi-exile when he lost the plot...so not quite the same.

But this Wimbledon win is huge, it'll take Federer to 17 and give him 6 more than Nadal.

With the heavy toll his style of play takes on Nadal, I don't think he'll catch Roger anymore.

Federer!! He has surpassed even greats like Pete Samprass!! Although not a huge fan of him, but have been supporting him today and he has been outstanding......the last time supported him was during Wimbledon final 2008 between him and nadal and nadal won it....

But Today it's Federer's day

The best ever!

I am not a Murray fan but I do feel for him. There's always tremendous pressure on him and he got so close this time. He will get it done one day though. Great match.

You couldn't help but feel for Murray. He was completely crushed by that defeat. Up a set, and had 2 break points in the 2nd...if he converts that, he wins the 2nd, and it's a completely different match.

Roger - simply too good.

This wimbledon was all about redemption - Serena and Roger, two 30 year olds, showing the kids they still have fight left in them.

Though Djoko is my third choice in terms of supporting, but I guess he will come back strong. It's gonna be tough for Nad/Fed to beat him here. He looked a bit casual than his normal self, in both Roland Garros & Wimbledon ..

reckon he would have won RG had they not had to go off court, thought he was playing quite well there....wimbledon he didn't look to be in as good form. he's lost his momentum, us open will be important for him, if he doesn't win it i could see nadal and fed getting on top of him but if he wins it i reckon he'll get back on top of them. don't forget fed has won the us open 5 times.

I think Fed will win the US Open. He loves the US hard courts and the Wimbledon win will give him a lot of confidence. He was gonna win last year's US Open too but somehow Novak pulled a couple of rabbits out of the hat on those match points!

Djoker's still the favorite for the US open, no matter how big a Fed fan you are. I just really hope Fed can keep that confidence in him. He needs to win a gold medal.
