A Thread on PC Games
I assume that many of us are fond of PC games. Although it sounds odd considering my age, but I like to play PC games whenever I find time to relax. Would you like to share your likings, disliking and experience of PC games?
At present I like to play these games:
1. SimCity 4
2. Civilization III

Mostly a strategy gamer and I like the Age of Empires series. Other than that, Counter Strike is an awesome online multiplayer experience.

Among the strategy games, I play Rise of Nations. If you like Age of Empires, I believe you will like this too. It takes to the latest modern age. Graphic is good also.

I have tried Rise of Nations but have not liked it that much. It is similar to Empire Earth. Theres a new strategy game by the name of Warhammer 40: Dawn of War, its got some good reviews. Forthcoming is EA's Lord of The Rings: Battle For Middle Earth which should prove to be populer. But currently Rome: Total War has got some great reviews and is really a good game.

Looks like most here likes strategy games. Rise of Nations is okay but not too impressed with it. I have been trying out Warcraft 3 multiplayer and can see why its been dominating the RTS genre as of late.
Age of Empires was a must for any strategy gamer in the days but not many play it online. Perhaps a thousand or two log into MSN Zone to playe AOE: Age of Kings and a around two hundred to play Age of Empires itself.
Here are some forthcoming RTS titles that will make an impact:
Lord of The Rings: Battle For MiddleEarth
Settler 5: Heritage of The Kings
Age of Empires 3 - somewhat unsure of this one
World of Warcraft - not sure of this either, its to be RPG mostly.
Right now Rome: Total War and Warhammer 40: Dawn of War are pretty big.

Is it me or does anyone else think that they haved dumbed down the civilization 4. I still think civilization3 is the best all time strategy game.

For the last several years, I've only played Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike:Source on the PC on a regular basis.
This year, spent a few days playing Tiberium Wars, but finished that quick and wasn't interested in the multi-player side of it.
Really want to get BioShock, but the PC version hasn't been cracked properly yet. :P
Other than that, I mostly play games on the xbox / x360.
