While you're fasting.
From what I've heard, you can even get intimate with your spouse, but that should not lead into intercourse or something.
However...many say that it's recommended to abstain from these during the whole month. I'm not sure what's right and what's wrong.

But if getting intimate means bodily fluids coming out then that would break the fast wont it ?

yes, kabir is right. most of the scholars say u can get intimate as long as intercourse doesn't occur, but if fluid is emitted, it nullifies wudu and possibly the fast (don't know about this). full on ejaculation does break the fast unless its unintentional and that is a sure fact. but not so sure on just the pre-ejac fluid.
however, kabir i must disagree with you that is recommended to abstain from "boning" for the whole month as the quran itself says the night of the fast is halaal. making haraam what allah said is halaal is a big mistake, even though we are seeking purity. it violates the sunnah. the Prophet said in response to 3 men who pledged celibacy, constant fasting, and constant night prayer that "i marry women, i break my fast, and i sleep at night...whoever does not follow my sunnah is not of me (i.e not a muslim)".
further the quran states:
Quote:
"allah wishes to lighten the burden for you, and man was created weak"
4:28
|
and
Quote:
It is made lawful for you to go unto your wives on the night of the fast. They are raiment for you and ye are raiment for them. Allah is aware that ye were deceiving yourselves in this respect and He hath turned in mercy toward you and relieved you. So hold intercourse with them and seek that which Allah hath ordained for you, and eat and drink until the white thread becometh distinct to you from the black thread of the dawn. Then strictly observe the fast till nightfall and touch them not, but be at your devotions in the mosques. These are the limits imposed by Allah, so approach them not. Thus Allah expoundeth His revelations to mankind that they may ward off (evil).

New question and a much easier one: Which non-Sahaba Khalifa is normally assumed as part of Khulafa-e Rashedin?

Harun-Ur-Rashid...was he? Do we put RA as well after his name?

Forbidden while fasting (Sehri to iftar), forbidden during 'Atteqaf' (Period / day that one stays mostly in the mosque/inprayers during this month)
Allowed during the nights in the month of ramajan & all other days (any time) & completely forbidden with anyone other one's own wife, irrespective of month.
It is forbidden & a sin; to put such restrictions in religion, which has been permitted by Allah; even if it is intended to look for purity / closeness to Allah. Violation of Allah doesn't bring you close to Him.
But unfortunately many muslims have this wrong perception of doing more, even in violation of what you are told to do/ not to do. That's a Sin. Even the prophet was admonished by Allah for the same reason. When he tried to act safe by hiding his desire of marrying Zainab after she was divorced by her husband Zaid (Adopted Son of the Prophet).
Quote:
33-04: Allah hath not assigned unto any man two hearts within his body, nor hath He made your wives whom ye declare (to be your mothers) your mothers, nor hath He made those whom ye claim (to be your sons) your sons. This is but a saying of your mouths. But Allah saith the truth and He showeth the way.

Umm, Rahmatullahi Alaihi you can put after anyone; I was asking about RadiAllahu Anhu and whether to put it after Harun-Ur Rashid in case he's related to the Prophet (PBUH) somehow.

RadiAllahu Ta'ala Anhu Goes after name of Sahaba, some use it with Tabei and Tabe-Tabei too (They are people who came in touch with Sahaba or Tabei, respectively). Harun-Ur-Rashid was not in any of these groups, so correct one to use with his name would be Rahmatullahi Alaihi.
