BD a tour of Kenya
Bangladesh Cricket Board on Saturday announced the Bangladesh A team which will make a 25-day tour of Kenya from August 15.
Middle order batsman Sanwar Hossain of Mohammedan Sporting will lead a 15-member squad. Abdul Hannan Sarkar of Surjo Torun, who is now touring Sri Lanka with Bangladesh team will act as vice-captain.
TEAMMohammd Sanwar Hossain (captain), Abdul Hannan Sarkar (vice-captain), Javed Omar Belim Gullu, Rafiqul Islam Khan, Mohammed Mazharul Huq Chowdhury Mridul, Mohammed Ashraful, Alok Kapali, Mohammed Anwar Hossain, Mushfiqur Rahman, Tushar Imran, Sabbir Khan Shafin, Talha Zubair, Tapash Kumar Baishya, Shafaq Al Zaber and Anwar Hossain.
Standby: Mosaddek Hossain, Shamimul Haq Biddyut, Nafis Iqbal Khan and Arif Hossain.
===================
I'd say BCB did a good job setting up the team. They have players who are playing for the national team who can obviously use this matches to get more practice. One thing concerns me, our bowling is not too strong. We need to find new talents nationwide.

I like this team, pretty balanced. Lets hope they can beat Kenya., specially in the one dayers. The 3/4 days can be draw.

If they don't beat Kenya, then there is a problem. If you look at the team closely, this team has the same strength as the national team. Most of these players play/played in the national team. So if this team loses to Kenya, then you know who else is going to lose.
The name "Bangladesh A" will reduce the embarrasment --that's all

lets be...
positive I have a feeling our boys will teach Kenya a lesson or two...the best thing though is the 'future' of our nation competing against the mostly 'old have beens' or 'soon to be have beens' of Kenya

As long as Sanwar Hussain is the Captaing BD A will not do any good. He is not an intelectual cricket. Another stupid decision by BCB

BD A
Apart from Sanwar being the captain, this team is pretty much our national team. Pompous's comment is exactly why Kenya is having trouble getting their test status. They have no future.
Nepal seems to have a FAR stronger future side then Kenya. While their youth team 'amader chok rangai' the Kenyan youth's tremble in front of ours. Nepal will keep improving and will become a threat for BD in Asian Cup matches. Our best chance is now. Now that Nepal's national team is still weaker then us, we need to separate ourselves from teams like Nepal/Canada or Holland.
I will eagerly wait for the results of this tour because this Bangladesh team holds the future for our cricket. Orpheus is right, if we lose, the 'A' team tag will only reduce the embarrasment.
Let's not forget that Masri, Manju and Sharif are not going, our bowling looks a little ordinary.

Tikolo and Kenyan preparation
Tikolo is the new Kenyan captain
Look at their program. Wonder why some folks here 'complain' about BCB not doing enough?
