I use this app.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...yfast&hl=en_US

For 16 hours I do water fast, and then for the 8 hours I get to eat whatever I want and how much I want.

Funny thing is you don't want to eat anymore anyways. It resets your hunger hormone - the 16 hour fast and you feel less hungry more and more.

^ Nice App. Will give it a try. Thanks

When you say you eat as much as you want, does that include rice and Bread too?

Absolutely!

I try to eat less though and eat 'clean'. I had kabob, fries, salad, pita and humus yesterday to break my fast. So only 'dirty' thing there was the fries, but after 16 hours I give my body a break and it eats it up real quick anyways after being starved.

Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper.

If you are able to keep a weight range of a few pounds (at most 3) on either side of your actual weight, then you have nothing to worry about. 160 is ideal at 5'8'

That's wonderful news . losing 8-10 pounds within a month of Intermittent Fasting is a great start. What you will notice that over time, inshAllah, you will consume lot less quantity of food than you used to and you will still be fine. Also, the thing with food in this world is that the taste factor diminishes after a few bites with most foods anyways. Being in control of what you eat is one of the most liberating feelings in this world as opposed to letting your food/hunger/craving control you.

I am stuck at 175(it's hard when you get invited to too many places haha)... but last year around this time i was around 210ish... I think anything below 150 for me would be unhealthy.

You are doing great Rifat. 175 is remarkable considering the fact that you were at 212 once. My target is 185. I will be happy if I can get below 195 now

yeah i am always eating a lot when I am watching cricket or participating online. There is merit to this thought. For example, I hate two boxes (that's 2 lbs) of premium misty yesterday ...
But when I work, I barely eat or even have the urge to eat.

Maybe try switching things up. Do HIIT. Reevaluate what youre eating ddaily, you can always cut more.

Or you could just be thinking that way because your initial weight loss was so drastic, and infact what youre experiencing now is losing weight at a normal rate.

I started doing OMAD couple of weeks ago (one meal a day). Partly out of necessity. Traveling alot for work and airport food is disgusting. So better to have 1 good meal, instead of 2 crappy ones. Not looking to lose weight, just trying to stay lean and consistent despite the travel schedule.

Feels great so far. Dont really experience any hunger. And feel less tired in the morning. And I always reward myself with a big dinner. Had a 16 oz ribeye last night, calories is prob 2000. Still less than daily recommended.

^ Wow. I always skip breakfast anyway, so two meals a day for me.

But just 1? That's a tough ask man. That's some yogi or Malcolm X level dedication type ish. Good luck.

Yogis would not have steak though, no red meat. I have cut out red meat out of my diet completely, and it feels better. But I had cholesterol issues to begin with, so I had little choice.

it's not as hard as you think depending on what kind of job you have. If you got one of those cushy 9 to 5 job where u have hard time killing time then yeah it's difficult cuz you will think of eating wehn u got nothing to do and need to kil time.

But if you have a very busy daily work schedule and a daily grind then it's very easy to skip meal. I do (unintentionally) once a day meal often and it takes me a matter of two weeks to lose somewhere in vicinity of 8 to 10 lbs but then i regain them with massive binge eating.

I work at night - and most ppl tend to gain weight working those hours. But what i simply do is not eat during working hours (it's easy as my work is super busy). i come home and eat a watchful portion - wake up and go back to work.. do this repeatedly for over 2 weeks. And voila massive loss of weight. But then when i finally get the working days out of the way - and when I am home nothing to do - I eat and eat and eat and eat. I try to watch but i can't help it.. eat and eat. Food is one of the best things in the world to enjoy.. so i eat and eat. anything and everything. and I gain back whatever the hell i lost bakc in a week.

But I can see how someone not having a favorable schedule it would be extremely difficult. If you can sustain this once a day eating for over a month.. i am pretty sure you will lose weight given you don't lie in your bed all the time but actually do stuff.

^ I think portions matter too. Most people eat till they are full. I have two meals a day, but small portions, only enough food to kill the hunger pang, but not get full.

I have one cheat day though (On Friday),where I have donuts, have a huge meal, and drink. Not necessarily in that order.

This has worked for me. I don't know how much I lost, I don't even own a weighing scale. But I recently had to get all my dress pants get an inch reduced from the waist as they were fitting too loose.

^when I eat, I go all out. Gotta feel that satisfaction of being full.

I just had over last two days. close to a full Ilish mach size 1200 -1500 gram. It's so damn good. Cant stop eating. Not sure how much calories it would be but 3 pieces per meal day and the mach is finished. Not a small portion guy.
