Another advantage would be that he may have influnce over BCCI to invite us to play against India. He may even get our development teams play in Indian doemstic league. Since we do not have good domestic structure we need to send our teams to Indian, Sri Lankan and Pakistani leagues.

I am not kidding; but that comment shows your knowledge about cricket.

Baundale bhai, those were great points you brought up and gave very good reasoning. I believe the best thing about Shane Warne is his attitude. He's got a winner's mentality. Sure, it's not the most methodical, but he's a fighter and competitor. We surely need a coach who give our boys a good fighting attitude. That's why Whatmore brought the best out of our players. We definitely need a coach who has a fire in his belly and instills that with the boys.

Warne won't make it in BD for a week. His fighting attitude will get destroyed by Loitta Kamal and Co. in matter of days.

this ain't IPL. Those guys probably care about their franchise way more than our administrators care about our cricket. They will have no problem showing him the door, if he does 'beyadobi' with them.

Well, he has missed the application date, unless he has applied behind everyone's backs.

^^ You dont have to apply to get the job.
BCB can pick their candidate out of the applications too.

If you don't apply, that means you have to get approached. Who did the BCB approach btw?

The recent developments indicate that Shane Warne will leave RR. Rasthan is already thinking of taking disciplinary action against Warne, because of his comments about the RCA secretary. A few days back he also told about being under pressure by the owners to take certain players. So, he may be available as a candidate to coach Bangladesh.

Shane's a bit of an acquired taste. Bound to ruffle some feathers you know. A bit too headstrong for the subcontinent I would have thought. It would likely end up being counterproductive in my estimate. I'm sure that the players would love him, but the adminstrators would find him a bit of a hot potato. All a bit of a moot point as I don't think he'd go for a bowling coach job for anyone but OZ. Anyone else and it would have to be the top job I would have thought.

We don't really need a spin bowling coach, as the spin department is fine. What we need is another Ian Pont style bowling coach to help bring our good, but naive, fast bowlers up to scratch.

Why not Ian himself?

Ian recently left the Head bowling coach job... But I think he should come back as the head coach... He will do wonders for Bangladesh.

It would be great if he could give our boys couple of months of spin bowling training. Razzaq.. even Shakib can use some variety.

but a leg spinner isn't suitable I would think. Although they are spinning the ball in the same direction, the dynamics in the bowling, along with the actions are completely different. I think Rafique is a good/better choice

I have been crying out loud for Rafique fr such an opportunity long time. Nice to have someone else bring up the topic. He is the inspiration behind our lefties...
I remember Rafique pouring his heart out during WC in Bashar hosted TV show. Come on guys.. give him a chance!!! I wont cost over $300,000 like Jamie.. I promise.

And it also means we are pumping back into our own cricket.. He is also a really good bowler ( no one realized! lol, jk).
but on a more serious note, even tendulkar said that whenever the team talked of Bangladesh, Rafuiqe and his arm-ball where the central topic.
And he deserves the 300K more than JS.

Rafique has always expressed his desire to be a curator, not coach.

You can't expect everything to be handed down to you, BCB is not just going to go out of their way and ok go Rafique what can we do to help, or how much money do you need? Look at Pilot and Rajin they both built their Academy from scratch and I doubt they got any kind of help from BCB at the beginning, but maybe after they started attracting attention they might have recieved some sort of attention from BCB (I'm just speculating). I realize that rafique holds grudge against BCB and selectors but that was long time ago, he needs to look past that and put himself out there. Plu

He would just set up great big spinning wickets, and of the opposition has a single spinner of decent standard (George Dockrell) then we lose the match... Simple as.
