These ground are gorgeous, but my only worry is capacity. These grounds should have a capacity of 50,000 to 75,000 people. This will have lots of crowd and lots of noise. It would be wonderful atmosphere.

English grounds only hold around 15-30k. 26000 packed in at the oval is far better than 26000 at the MCG. Why build grounds so big that no one will go to. (But yes, people do go to the MCG)

So they can hold concerts and other activity to generate revenue. In US some of the college football games holds over 100,000 every home games and this is just a state college ground.

In India Eden Gardens of calcutta has the capacity of more than 1,00, 000. It is great to watch cricket in Eden Gardens in which people cheer every ball and every player and makes a lot of noise.

Think of the migration from the US to watch these matches. I know few BD people who are already getting geared up. i am sure by the 100s if not 1000s there will be Indians, Pakis and SL'n joining the party. 3 team in one group would make a subcontinent get together.
The Aussies and the English will fly from home because they have a chance to win it all.
The only problem I see is the weather. It may disrupt few games. and an early hurricane can blunder everything.

i wanted to go too, but will probably not have enough time, and definitely not have enough money

would be nice to watch an Aus-SA match, or even a Scottie-Dutch one...keen follower of the European minnows here

would also be nice to follow the group D matches - i'm pretty sure Ireland's gonna pull off a couple of wins, most probably against Zimbabwe and the West Indies. would love to see them move on to the second round. realistically, they are the only associates who have a chance of making it there. scotland's good but they have the bad luck of being in the same group as Australia and South Africa; and I don't think Kenya or Canada will overcome NZ and Eng.

if i had the chance, i'd definitely book tickets for groups A & D matches

European minors should get atleast 1 to 2 wins. Team like Ireland should come and play more ODI cricket and also more quality cricket. Cricket cannot be globlized with just 10 countries playing test and ODI for a long period.

it's a dilemma actually. allowing more teams to play test cricket will hamper the quality of cricket played, but if you're thinking of globalization, you'll have to sacrifice the quality.

i think the ICC will go with the first option. i see a long way ahead for this sport before they even reach the height of basketball (in terms of popularity, i.e.)
