Default BD players to keep an eye on during BPL

Mahedi Hasan is one to really keep an eye on.

I am not looking for any raw new talent this time, but hoping some of the experienced domestic players will finally adapt to T20 format. I am liking what I have seen from Shuvagata, Junaid, and Shahid so far. Nayeem prolly will also use this tournament to show his potential as a better LOI choice in place of Miraz.

Shuvagota Hom with that innings. If he can keep it up then maybe be in contention for the t20 format internationally, in the future.

Really hoping Al Amin Hossain and Jahirul have a good tournament. These are the two guys I really think could value to our T20 side.

Both AA and Taskin looked decent yesterday except for last few overs when they failed to sustain the pressure. I hope both will improve their death over bowling under Warner-Waqar this tournament.

we are just naming every single bangladeshi player haha.

Alamin hossain is definitely one who should be amongst the national team.

Nayeem Hasan is proving to be quite a classy bowler.

afif hossain has the xfactor with his batting.

No bangladeshi batsmen is really sticking out at this point in time.

All of the locals outside of the national team are awful. Talk about no talent. We'll soon be overtaken by Nepal.

Because the franchises are busy buying the known local names in other words the national team discards like Farhad Reza who will not do jack in internationals ever. They have poor scouting to pick up talented young players

Picked young talent Towhid Hridoy... result: single handedly lost them the game.
Picked "national team discard" Farhad Reza.. result: win due to a brilliant death over spell

Obviously I am just picking one recent example but I feel like even if I came with 100s of examples of BPL success stories of "national team discards" bringing success for the teams... you wont get it, so I wont waste my time

But Thank God BPL teams dont think like you.... I cannot imagine what would happen if we had more Shantos, Hridoys in this tournament.

Qazi is too expensive, high economy. Had to look him up when previewing the Dhaka Dynamites.

Rajshahi King's Zakir Hassan can be the main man in future. I too, rate him. But needs to perform in this BPL, his domestic numbers are not as good as Shanto or Liton or even the newer Yasir Ali. But he can change that if he starts performing in this BPL.

The T20 field is wide open imo. Can you avg 25 + with 100+ strike rate? If you can, you should be seriously looked at as on option for the national team. Easier said than done, but also should be a huge source of motivation for the youngins to perform.

I have seen Qazi Onik bowl from last BPL and some youtube clips. he has some variations and looks like a thinking bowler. That's what impressed me. Honestly, the kid only played 3 matches so high economy rate is expected. Even The Fizz leaks 12+ runs per over in quite a few T20 matches nowadays but consistently picks up wickets. I expect that econ rate to get better if he is given a solid consistent run. Not to mention, his list A record is pretty decent(so far).

Alok Kapali. A leggie, if he can rediscover his hitting like in ICL. He can have one last chance to contribute to BD t20 next World T20.

Afif hossain and junaid siddique should be in BD T20 plans.

What a talent Afif is with the bat.

Junaid definitely has been good with a good strike-rate and scoring above 20 every game and it was stupid to drop him from T20 internationals. So far all the top T20 Bangladeshi batsmen have been disappointing. Tamim, Riyadh, Mushfiq and Liton have been disappointing this BPL. In fact all Bangladeshi players but Afif, Miraj and Junaid haven't found their form.

You search for BPL 2019 highlights in YouTube and HIS name comes out in the list.
Its not about BPL highlights, its HIS highlights. The man has more followers than a regular team.

BPL Highlights? Most watched and sought after player in BPL? Even I am shocked.

This link has over 153K hits already. No other highlights for any teams or any other players comes even close:

Shamsur with a 30 odd. If he can show some consistency then I see a recall for him for the t20s.
