some of the names are forwarded by the players agent. Its up to BPL team to ensure who they buy during the auction. Not all players will get a bid.

So what bad does it cause if any outsiders buy a franchise? What if sahara wants to buy a team and will pay 10mil bucks, away more than the actual price. Isn't it a good thing for bpl? Look how expensive ipl teams got sold for and Bpl teams got sold for bare cheap. Why not allow outsiders buy some franchise. More money, more market for Bpl I reckon!

Impressive foreign list but I will watch BPL for the local players. I don't like when foreign players dominates all charts. This is a domestic league after all and seriously don't want us emulate IPL.

Well I hope no one buys any of them unknown Tom, dick and harrys! LoL. Would have been nice to see some Indian players, am sure their board could've given likes of rayudu, yuvraaj and others go ahead to play in bpl. I think IND board is jealous of bpl, b....... They don't want our league to grow. jealousy is a disease.

There are 6 domestic players against 5 foreign players in a XI. Domestic players have the chance to top the charts as well. They just need to lift their games. With the current status of BD cricket I am not too unhappy seeing 5 foreign players in a team. The harder the competition the better it is for our cricket.

There are enough quality players in the list to make the league attractive. But it requires more than on field performance to make a league successful.

Looks like some players were just ignored. Peter Trego scored 311 runs in last BPL which was 7th highest and he did not even make it to list.

hahaha tino best in golden category...lol But seriously this is just unfair to Shakib. Most players from golden category will get around 75k - 150k ...While Bangladeshi golden category players only will get 45k-70k.

Do you understand how an auction works? The category prices are just the minimum bids, I would bet Shakib gets one of the highest amounts, all the franchises will be fighting for him.

I hope the franchises are more prudent this time around. I hope they don't get all excited and start spraying bids all over the place and then later, embarrassingly, it turns out can't afford to pay the players and staff.

Just as I said last year, if the BPL organisers had some sense they could have seen that the Icon player feature didn't work in the IPL as they scrapped it after the first year. The BPL could have avoided the embarrassing situation faced by Nafees and others by learning from the IPL's mistakes but instead they just copied them and now have to scrap it just as the IPL had to,

Shakib is injured infact shouldn't he be getting his operation now? Tamim won't be playing for Chittagong anymore fans must be gutted they will miss out on the local boy. Also 5 foreign players in one team is too much, our locals will hardly get time to bowl or bat. I remember in last season the first 3/4 batsman in the teams were all foreign. Also 3 stadiums is silly, how about 1 for every team? so you won't see empty ones.
