We all have the same source - Newspapers from Bangladesh. Since there are no tables provided, it is hard to actually say what was going on from reading reports from 2 weeks.
The point system is not only based on win/lose. You get 2 points for the first inning lead. So it is hard to figure out just from the numbers. But this is what is going on now or atleast what I got so far. I hope this will get you back in the game:
1. Chittagong has an innings and 8 runs victiory over Rajshahi whereas Dhaka and Khulna did not have innings victory, rather some runs/wickets victory. Khulna has a 4 wicket victory over Barishal.
2. Dhaka and Khulna both have another game left to play. Dhaka plays Rajshahi and Khulna faces Sylhet. The game starts on Jan 13.
So, the competition is really between Dhaka and Khulna to face Chittagong on the final. Dhaka just drew with Chittagong but had the first inning lead. So Dhaka gets 2 points and are now tied with Khulna with 10 points each.
So far this is the table from top of my head
- *Chittagong .......... 14 pts
*Dhaka ..................10
*Khulna..................10
*Rajshahi ...............8
*Barishal ................2
*Sylhet .................. 0
Games to be completed:
*Dhaka v Rajshahi
*Khulna v Sylhet
Date : Jan 13
Oh another thing:
The game between Dhaka and Khulna was a draw. However, Khulna got 2 points for having the first innings lead.
I think this post plus the BanglaCricket.com front page dailystar report will get you everything.
