১৫ এপ্রিল আসছে পাকিস্তান

সংশয়ের মেঘ সরে গিয়েছিল আগেই। গত পরশুই জানা গেছে, পাকিস্তান ক্রিকেট দলের বাংলাদেশ সফর নিশ্চিত হয়েছে। কাল জানা গেল পাকিস্তানের আসার তারিখও। বাংলা নববর্ষের পরদিন, আগামী ১৫ এপ্রিল বাংলাদেশে পা রাখবে কাল বাংলাদেশের মতোই বিশ্বকাপের কোয়ার্টার ফাইনাল থেকে ছিটকে যাওয়া দলটি। তারা বাংলাদেশে খেলবে ২ টেস্ট, ৩ ওয়ানডে ও ১টি টি-টোয়েন্টির পূর্ণাঙ্গ সিরিজ। ম্যাচগুলো হবে মিরপুর শেরেবাংলা স্টেডিয়াম, চট্টগ্রামের জহুর আহমেদ চৌধুরী স্টেডিয়াম ও খুলনার শেখ আবু নাসের স্টেডিয়ামে। তবে কোন ম্যাচ কবে হবে এবং কোথায় হবে, এসব চূড়ান্ত হয়নি এখনো। কোচ চন্ডিকা হাথুরুসিংহের ইচ্ছে, ওয়ানডে দিয়ে সিরিজ শুরু করার। সে ক্ষেত্রে ২২ এপ্রিল হতে পারে প্রথম ওয়ানডে। তবে ভিন্ন চিন্তাও আছে। ম্যাচসূচি চূড়ান্ত হবে শিগগিরই। বিসিবি পরিচালক ও মিডিয়া কমিটির চেয়ারম্যান জালাল ইউনুস বললেন, ‘বোর্ডপ্রধান নাজমুল হাসানের সঙ্গে আমার কথা হয়েছে, পাকিস্তান সফরে আসছে বলে নিশ্চিত করেছেন উনি। সবকিছু ঠিকঠাক থাকলে ১৫ এপ্রিল বাংলাদেশ আসছে পাকিস্তান।’ সবশেষ ২০১১ সালে দ্বিপাক্ষিক সিরিজ খেলতে বাংলাদেশে এসেছিল পাকিস্তান। এরপর খেলতে এসেছে ২০১২ ও ২০১৪ এশিয়া কাপ ও গত টি-টোয়েন্টি বিশ্বকাপে।

I think we will be up against the weakest Pak team who will still be strong enough to beat us but if we can't beat this team then when ? ekhon na jitley kokhon ?

DONOT make bouncy pitches hoping Rubel or Taskin can bounce out Pakistan. Your strength is your balance but Pakistan's strength is JUST their bowling thats superior than all the top 3 test nation's bowling combined. Truth.

Probably our best chance to finally break the jinx and maybe even register a series win. No Misbah, Afridi (who somehow manages to do well against us) or Irfan but Wahab in some serious form. Hope he doesn't blow our batsmen away. Ajmal is back too right? Let's see how he does without being able to chuck anymore.

India test and Australia series? When were they confirmed? Where are they going to be played? I hope they are away games, we need to play and get used to different conditions... Most of the games we play are in home...

No Misbah, Afridi and Irfan means we might be able to get some more easy test match wins... But I don't want that. I want tigers to play a full strength Pakistan and win against them. So hoping Irfan and Ajmal make their return.

Yes there is an Australia series this year at home and test matches against India but the test matches are not confirmed as Papon and co wanted to play a ODI series instead.

watch out for Sarfraz, Umar Akmal, and Haris Sohail....Pakistan always feel very encouraged when they play against Bangladesh and many of their players return to form in that manner.

I feel best time to beat them. SLAs should be handy against them. Beware of Misbah though.

^Please stop mixing history with sports. With all due respect to our independence and the struggle of our forefathers I do hate this tradition of mixing cricket ground with politics, religion and so many other tantrums. It is just another sport and let it stay there.

But, I like the part of your post where you mentioned 'second win'. I am actually lot more optimistic. I dream of 'wins' not just a 'win'.

Bring it on Pakistan. I am very excited about this series. We need to select players like Liton Kumar and Rony Talukdar. No Kayes please. It Was painful to see him bat to be honest.
