There are players from each side who have played exceptionally well in this WC and have performed well against each other in the past. Who, according to you will rise above others on the big day?

1. Virat Kohli (A brilliant record against Bangladesh with 3 centuries and a batting average of 126.50 says enough of him)
2. Mohammad Mahmudullah (With back to back hundreds in this WC already, he may be areal threat to India)
3. Shikhar Dhawan (He is in a fine form in this WC)
4. Shakib Al Hasan (One of the finest all-rounder. He can crush any team on his day with his bowling and batting)
5. M S Dhoni (A brilliant finisher and has shown his talent of rescuing the team from difficult situation in matches against WI and Zim)
6. Mushfiqur Rahim (An excellent record against India and has been in a good form)
7. Stuart Binny ( His 4/6 and bowling average of 0.66 may put some psychological pressure on BD team and seeing Sir Jadeja's curent form, he may be in the team for QF )

Sorry for not including him or for that matter any other bowler (except Stuart Binny ).
MCG wicket for this match is expected to be a batsman friendly one and i expect the batsmen to shine more than the bowlers. But if you feel that Mashrafe will be the star of the match, you can always vote for "some one else" option and mention his name in the post.

Yeah he seems to play only when his position in the team is in question and that too in a flat pitch, small ground. MCG is not a small ground by any means. So, you can keep Rohit out of the list probably for now.
