Most weddings worldwide have 3 components: dance/music, meeting people , eating

Most Bangladesh weddings are very lopsided towards the 3rd: hence a lot of people wont dance, wont meet anyone new, but will end up eating 2 plates of Biryani, and 3 glasses of Borhani*

I was just watching "Babel" and a Mexican wedding picturised there: the guests danced and then went to eat from a buffet line where food was served from some trays.. I can just imagine the reaction if that happens in an actual wedding (not Holud or Boubhat where buffets are used sometimes)
