@ Rabz in other words you would keep Rubel knowing that even if our batsmen score decent to give us a chance to win, he can blow it up easily? thats good bro.

Oh, hope Tamim could be back atleast for the Zim series !
This tour, we could feature an injured XI !!

Mushy is trying to finish the game as fast as possible. Probably he needs some rest.
Otherwise I don't see any reason continuing with Rubel/Abul with bowling even NOW!

These are some of the worst deliveries EVER! Even for a Bangladeshi seamer.

I don't see how any pacer from our domestic cricket can do any worse than the pacers we have in the national squad now. How can you do worse than Shahadat or Abul or Rubel? they don't pick wickets, they go for runs and they bowl short hit me balls every over.
At worst any Jodu/Modu like Taposh or Sajidul will do as badly as the current lot but i certainly can't imagine how they could do worse. Are they going to go for 20 runs per over?

Nope, I'm not saying keep Rubel on the team.
All I'm referring is that he is supposedly one of the best we have at the moment and he has flopped today. But unfortunately, there isn't any exciting prospect waiting in the line, neither the reserves have anything different to offer.
You could bring the next guy tomorrow but nothing much would change.
Change him all you like but it won't solve the problem.
Go back to the root and you might have an answer for atleast the future games.
All comes back to domestic infrastructure.

What's the point? Who did bd left at home should have played in place of him? Didn't he bowled superbly against nz in the white wash series? He got injured after that and still in recovery I think. This is what we have unless u want to play with all spinners in a pace pitch this is what we have to play with. Hope that he learns and does better. May be we need to get back to Whatmore era and bring russel back and play rest spin...

Fair point, I would still change rubel and play some unknown pacers.. why? If rubel play's the game and the batsmen set a winning total.. and we fans know the outcome of what rubel will do. then whats the point of having rubel and not some unknown bowler? Until we find that pacer we should try different option and not stick to the same option while knowing the outcome of it. that goes back to our stupid selectors.

Since Tamim is out and there is still no replacement for Nazmul, Shamsur Rahman and Task in(if fit ) would be ideal replacement.

Really a bad day. Everything so much predictable. Abul Rubel will be failed in bowling, is almost as forseeable as Tamim-Nasir will do well with bat.

If my memory doesn't betray then Rubel bowled well only in one series in his entire international career, that is the NZ series. I still remember Murali bashing him during Jan 2009 in SL.
I am not sure about his learning capability as you suggested. His career suggests otherwise.

The root cause of today's loss is that Srilankan electrical engineers engineered a power outage to break our rhythm and to give their batters enough time to rest.........
