Default Pakistan in England 2019 ODI Series

What a hammering England is dishing out here 😂 , 223-1 after 26.3 as I write chasing 358-9 in the Second ODI. Such flat pitches.

How is Pakistan making 350+ scores!!?? We have a far superior batting line up than them so I’m guessing the pitches are flatter than pancakes

These are some of the flattest pitches around it seems , 350 is looking like a 250 we got on normal pitches before

On such pitch, play with 11 specialist batsmen.

England is scary good. They had their second string bowling attack. Woods, Adil, Archer did not play in this game. Their confidence is so high....right now. Deserved #1 team.

Back in the days, here in BC, when someone would open a thread to rank teams, I would not put England in the list. That much hatred. But now I have to give credit to this team although I want them to lose every game. They should be favorites to win this tournament.

What is the reason for the anti England stance?

Long history. British empire.

Dicky Bird time. Chora umpiring from the beginning of time. Then learning reverse swing from Imran and Wasim, calling them out, while they were the "Tulshi dhuwa pata." Reverse swing became art while they did it. Respected Botham (as a Cricketer). Then he started to dish BD so bad. History with Tamim beating England at England. Almost winning the series. Bullish behavior. Finally, Morgan switching sides. That did it.

Highly abnormal scores.

This is a very English phenomenon the last few years.

When they visit, the totals go down significantly. Its not a bad game here and there, its across the board.

I thoroughly enjoyed the a$$ wooping england handed to Pakistan. Them 80 SR batsmen ain't cut for this type of ODI cricket even on the flattest pitch.

Poms will not win WC. Even at home they won't be able to bring it home. They will CHOKE.

And inshaAllah BD will complete their hattrick of beating them in WC

Despite the comedic relief thanks to Pakistan, they usually perform well in tournaments after such results which is what worries me.

I want to see them be consistent and take this form and give more comedic relief.

England are expected to go through, and probably top the group, but when it comes to the knockouts, anything CAN happen. You saw it at the Champions Trophy. If England-Pakistan were to meet in the finals, I won't be surprised if Pakistan turns up and WINS!!

between the flat pitches and unpredictable weather, this wc is going to be pretty underwhelming.

Most teams will outmuscle us on these tracks methinks.

Especially Afghanistan.

Okay, but that's still as good as a loss vs a team like Ireland in Afghan's favored conditions which assists their spinners.

You won't see Ireland coming to Bangladesh and drawing any series these days .

tbh Afg is a great T20 team but not that good in ODI

it is almost sheer luck that they are playing this WC in the first place..should have been Zim if they didnt choke vs uae

But afg did do great in asia cup I have to give it to them
