I remember the player's salary skyrocketed after the 2009 success led by Shakib. In many ways it was a one man show who won all the awards. This time around the lone man did not show and we as a team failed to show up as well. I predict the salary will drastically do down in local leagues as the sponsors will slowly disappear just like the fans.

i) lack of ambition/motivation to be a decent international cricketer
ii) lack of education resulting in lack of understanding of the game/match situation
iii) Bad habits reinforced by weak domestic cricket
iv) Vaat, goru bhuna
v) Bia shadhi and other distractions like weed, photo-shoots
vi) Fitness
vii) Series of Bolod captains
viii) Lack of cricket pundits who can really analyse the game and bring in the changes. No quality sports reporter (except Isam), commentator, umpire, ex player, selector, management having any ghilu. e.g Alister Cook is crap in ODI and the British Media is quick to point that out and point out the flaws.

because no one raised the bar /standard high,
so we are happy with mediocre to average performances.

We suck because, we can't do anything right lack for education I don't mean college education common sense and general education is the biggest problem. 160m with that amount of human power is just waste. We could of transform that amount of human resource to super power.
So we need to change our primary education system for start.

Mistakes of today game:
Bad fielding..
we played with Genuine 4 bowlers (You cant count Riyad, Sabbir, Somya as genuine bowlers)
Weird team combination, we picked Tamim, Bjoy, somya, momin in the same game.. these 4 are top order batsman. it means our two main batsmen Shakib and Mushi are batting very late. by the time Shakib Mushi comes to bat we are already loosing 5 wickets and the game is already gone. we should have picked Nasir instead of Momin. in that way the batting order should be Tamim, Anamul, Somya, Mushi/Riyadh, Shakib, Riyadh/Mushi, Sabbir, Nasir.. not sure what the management was thinking..

Inflated nationalism based on absolutely no grounding. What is the Bangladesh cricket team, or even as a country, people so proud of? What have we achived? We are so deluded of our achievements and capabilities as a nation

Ignorance is a problem, but a bigger problem is compounded ignorance, which is ignorance of one's ignorance, because compounded ignorance closes all doors to knowledge or improvement. How will we improve as a nation if we doggedly refuse to acknowledge or accept that we are really bad at this, let's stop this self-denial that's been going on for 15 years and face the music

1. We are too much emotional
2. We lack strong work ethics
3. We lack education
4. We lack ambition
5. We are hypocrites
That's all I could remember

Terrible body language out on the field today. No one looks to be communicating with each other. No one seems to have that spring in their step on the field. No one seems to positively try to influence another player. Some of the players seem to be in their own little world. Lack of communication. Definitely something wrong with the culture in the team.

I'd give some blame of this performance on pressure.
When you drop a sitter of that magnitude that early on, it's very hard to recover from that.
Even a three years old would have been able to hold on to that catch bijoy dropped, in her sleep. There is no explaining how that got dropped, besides being extremely nervous. The match's fate was decided then and there.
Mushy has always been inconsistent behind the stumps. Time to time, he will get one that is impressive, and then time to time, he will do something so stupid, it will make you cringe. I think's it WK's duty to be impressive, and those mistakes do hurt us a lot. May be he shouldn't keep after all? This could have been a different game if they didn't make awful mistakes like those.

have not been following cricket all that much since the fav five retired but tuned in once the WC started.
surprised to see mash as captain (again) !! is BD cricket going backwards ?? no way he is captain material, nothing he has ever done or said indicates he has two cricketing grey cells to rub together.
IMO BCB needs to get rid of him ASAP and give captaincy back to mushi.

Our think tank is messing up the batting order. There is no good explanation for poor fielding... I am hoping that it is a case of the atmosphere getting to them. I hope it does not continue for the rest of the tournament.

Thought this coach would understand players ability, and sets a good batting order but seems no, why Nasir is not playing ? and Mushfique is able to platy no 4 position and Sakib can play at 5 . I think there should be no place for Riyadh as he cant play 1-3 where down the order we have player like Nasir/Sabbir who are better than him and what has he really done with his bowing, can he provide us win with this bowling vs good teams instead only checking runs, dont we have better offspinner than him? And as a experience Nayeem could do better steadying the innings instead Mominul at one down and as Tamim/anamul we could have played Sumaiya if we want to and seems Imrul could do better instead Tamim.

Agreed. I was screaming about Nayeem before WC n lot of ppl were skeptic about him. Nayeem could hold the innigs at one side
. I was surprised how all the expert BC members werebacking up Mominul..OMG. He is useless in ODI..any doubt?
Imrul and Nayeem/Hom should be in for Momin and 1 SLA. Then we would ve lot of options. Now we ve two useless SLAs and a Test batsman in our side which make our squad 12 man side.

Lack of
heart
motivation
determination
easily satisfied with little doings.
Only guy who possess all that is Shakib. And he's No 1 in his position.
