lol nadim chetse. I'd be inclined to agree - Zia's rubbish. Keep him away.

Im thinking abt not only who can bowl.... Needed him bat too... If its a pace friendly wkt... We should play 3rd seemer who can bat too... I said zia, caz hes kinda handy on last ov drama or power play.... Who else there beside zia??? I want defenetly raz in the squad... So, who to cut from the final xi? I dont see other face? (Base on if the pitch is bowling friendly).

Without Shakib it is very difficult for the Tigers to field a balanced team. We need a minimum of five bowlers to complete the fifty overs. If we choose five specialist bowlers then the tail becomes too long. If we depend on Nasir or Mominul to bowl 10 between them then that it becomes risky under current odi field settings. We have seen very little of Zia with the ball but we know very well what Ryad has to offer wiith his bowling. Hence (even though i like Zia's attacking option) the safe option for the first two odis is to go with Riyad.

I seriously think we have a shot at winning this series. I'm half regretting not being able to watch the first match.

On another plane headed to paradise jr. So if poolside and drink in hand result in us to winning the series, I'll sacrifice more for the team.

More seriously - it depends on who shows up to bowl for us.

At first it tells me he is a very good batsman but when i see overall stats it also tells me he is an utterly hopeless bowler averaging 123/wkt with an economy above 4.

In short it tells me not to play this guy in ODIs

I would try him out in Zimbabwe ODI's, not here. Definitely the potential is there but there is an element of risk involved. In Tests it is a completely different story. In Tests, you can afford to give away runs at the expense of picking up crucial wickets. In ODI's sometimes that's not the best option.

just saw the news that nazmul is injured and they are sending robiul/shahadat as replacement. can't our physio and selectors find players without injury. why do we have to hurry to make a player fit if they are actually not fit for playing.

^^is that for real? Why does he keep getting injured? He needs to spend time with the physio and work out how he can keep himself injury-free and how he can maintain his body. Otherwise his stop-start career will slowly drift away from him.

And no way should we bring back Shahadat after what he did in the Asia Cup final. I'd just go with Abul and Rubel as our pacers.

Both pacers are very poor in short format.

One of the players being discussed as Nazmul's replacement is 17-year-old Taskin Ahmed, who was considered for the ODI squad. The selectors may opt to give the youngster the experience of training with the senior side. Captain Mushfiqur Rahim, coach Shane Jurgensen and on-tour selector Habibul Bashar will take a call on Nazmul's replacement.

Its not confirmed yet who will be the replacement. Taskin might be in if FIT. But its up to SJ, mushy and HB

Besided being the step child, nazmul always managed to be injured in the wrong time, that is just killing his career.

That is opening up opportunities for new bowlers. Karo posh mash, karo shorbonash,
