BCS League: Season 2 changes and signups
This is the launch of season 2 of the domestic simulation comp. There are many ideas and changes for the next season. I would like to have 3 teams so it is more of a league than a series and change the names.
Team Alok is now Team Nafis
Team Sarkar is now Team Aftab
The third team will be Team Nazmul
It will be a longer more intense season but I'll need some help. The captains will need to be more involved in selecting the playing XI's and bowlers overs. I will be sending e-mails around to inactive players tonight or tomorrow. I want to see more team spirit!
I also need someone to help out with the website, I'll do the hardwork by doing all the scorecards and statistics and putting them on the database you just have to publish it onto the website.
Ok so hows it work? Well I get the statistics and put them into a simulator, I then work out the teams and fixtures and play out a competition. What's the prize, complements from other members and maybe even a red cap at the end of it. Representing the BanglaCricket XI against other test playing nations. Also new this season, if you average over 55 with the bat then you gain 2 skill points, under 23 with the ball will also gain 2 skill points. Between 40-55 you gain 1 skill point and between 28-23 you gain 1 skill point.

Ok if I can emphasis something. Possibly the most important part of the signup is the statistics so if you don't know approximate. I can do the old players on last years stats no problem but adding your real stats just helps make it a bit more realistic.
The point of putting your level isn't to make third graders worse off than first graders particularly. Let me put it this way, in juniors your batting ability will be higher than you put your average because you have to retire and start again and the umpires are shocking. Generally in most grades there's a better quality in bowling than batting so if you put 17 as your bowling average it won't stay that way. My average with the ball is around 14 but I put it into the simulator as 36. I won't do it as drastically as that but I want to make it realistic.

Correct
Naheyan and sports_fan_bd welcome to the system. You will be allocated into a team next week.
I want around 40 members at the moment I'm at around 32 so if you're thinking about joining do it now.

Basically the captains and myself do all the work. You just sit back and enjoy. It is good however when you feature in match threads, show team spirit and give ideas to the captain. Maybe if you're doing well or are quite active then you'll be interviewed but generally we'll do the work for you.
This goes for everyone, being involved does count when the selection panel sit down. It's like this...if you're saying things in the match threads, cheering for your team and supporting your players then that shows team spirit. You're an energetic team player, if you don't say anything in the match threads it looks like you're a lazy player who doesn't give effort and doesn't care about the team. This is turn can influence selectors when they make the vital decisions.
