Default Should Faruq be called back as Chief Selector and single stage selection process to be reintroduced?

There is clearly a problem with our selection structure. I was wondering how many of you would want Faruk Ahmed to be back as Chief Selector and single stage selection structure ?

Seeing what just happened with our selection for the current series, I feel Faruk needs to come back.

This forum's people mindset change is very iconic. Few months back many forum members were so happy that Faraq was gone. Just after 1/2 match(es), all changed. Hah..

LOL. KDPP type thread.

Let us wait at least 2-3 series before judging their performance.

As if we have bradman sitting outside of national team and selectors haven't picked up. Problem is with our players and mind set.

Selection of our pace bowling attack was not merit based . I don't think Faruq would have allowed Shafiul in place of Al-Amin. If Al-Amin played in place of Rubel then the 2nd ODI would have been closer than it already was.

(Sorry, I still can not get over 2nd ODI).

Faruk should be selected in playing Xl. He will be partnering Tamim as an opener.

Perhaps only error. Is that enough to ask Faruque back.

But on that note, supposedly Al Amin has discipline issues for which he doesnt get along with the head coach. Coach though has clearly stated door not closed, that they are trying out different options.

Perhaps a better batting lineup will tell us why?

Mosharraf is recommended by HP consultant coach Venkatapati Raju. Our past or present selectors have absolutely nothing to do with it.

I'm not sold on Mosharaf Rubel yet. He has earned his place for England series though.

Still the selectors did choose him. The guy has been knocking on the doors for years, consistent performer year after year in all forms of cricket. Always amongst the leading wicket takers.

Normally our selectors are not so open to suggestions of coaching staff.

Obviously he ll have to prove himself against better sides. But i think he do better than the Sunny's,, Taijul etc. Mosharraf is a thinking bowler, and secondly his height makes a difference.

Right now we need someone to reduce some burden from Shakib, and we may have a candidate

selection is not bad. mosharraf and mosaddek was great addition.only mistake was adding rubel instead of al-amin. that could be honest mistake

selector deserve some credit. poll is unfair here

There wasn't even anything wrong with selection in last series.

AA was left out because of disciplinary reasons. That's why Shafiul was picked ahead of him.

And AA is a good T20 bowler, but Taskin and in-form Rubel are clearly better than him in ODIs. It wasn't a bad idea to use the series against AFG to evaluate Rubel and help him get back in form. That's not why we lost the second game. There were many things that we did wrong in the first two games.

I think Saqlain Sajib was someone who deserved an oppurtunity in ODIs

Like I said before Mosha(rraf) was a terrible selection which would have never happened under Faruk.

Faruk was methodical and did not tango much with coaches who do not keep a track of domestic performance.
