Another story from school life, there was a big banyan tree under which we would participate in a week long cultural competition every year during language day. The banyan tree itself had a big palm tree grew up on it. The tree is in on the side of Mirpur road opposite to Mohammadpur station inside the RMSC campus. The myth about it was, do not go near the banyan tree when nobody is around and the palm tree is actually a ghost which made the banyan tree home.

That's a good one from Residential Model Uno World bhaiya!
Pasha/Noc bhai tell us something from our Govt Lab please!!
I also went to ViqaruNessa Noon back in 77-78 when my beloved older sister/apu was alive (she crossed over in 1980 when she was an 8th grader there) and she was a senior student there and ViqarunNessa would take boys to enroll just in grade 1 through 3, I think the rule was something like you had an older sister also attending the school, so that she can guide you and look after you if you get into trouble or start crying like a maniac like childrens do all the time around me, I don't understand why they cry so much!!...Anyway I went there for garde 1 and 2 and there was a huge Bot-Gach Banyan tree and we were told not to go near it and go behind the senior section because we were told it was an old hospital during the british rule and in the 2nd world war (although, now I know we didn't see much WWII action in our area except for the Brits were praparing for a Japanise attack and there were massive trenches cut and preperations/ammos gather took place in Chittagong, Noakhali and there were some bombing in Tripara/Brahmanbaria/Comilla by Japanese Fighter/bombers planes and there were some casualties and some of our people did die along with some British soldiers, I think more British soldiers died of Malaria/Typhoide/Cholera types of diesease in our today's eastern BD region than in combat or under enemy fire...sossy bahis, totally went off-tracked here..forgot what I was saying...))...and we were told in Viqarun Nessa that old dead british soldiers ghosts and spirits walk around these buildings and classrooms! And we bielived them and got sh!t scared all the time!

Well it's not really an urban legend. When I was in class 1-5 at Govt Lab, there was a rumour among us that there was a skeleton in one of the locked deserted rooms in a less crowded part of the building (which was true as u can guess lol). We really weren't sure so we joked about it whenever we passed the corridor near that room. When I was in class 5, one day me & my friends skipping a class were passing by & saw that the room was open. Then curiosity led us inside & we saw that a skeleton was staring at us from its glass almirah. Man oh man we ran for our lives without looking back straight to our class room. Then after a few years we learnt the real mystery behind the skeleton from our seniors & later used the skeleton for practical.

Here's a very popular one, not sure how many people actually still believe it:
Khawar shomay kauke salaam korley she morey jay.
Another one that I heard long time ago but not sure if it's actually true:
Kobor er dikey angul dekhaile angul e shaat bar kamor dite hoy, naile angul kete porey jay.

This one's hysterical. I think this is one commonly used one too.

I dont' know about biting tongue but Zeeshan is right. I heard that too.. when you sneeze/choke especially while eating that someone must be thinking of you. Perhaps biting tongue falls in that spectrum as well.
