I was watching CLT20. I wish we had one good stadium like that. Sylhet stadium has a very long way to go....even the road has not been built...

Why you need roads? All guests will be transported using elephants like kings while they enjoy sipping local tea.

Hopefully one day we will have shaded stadium...watching a game under the scorching sun is more punishment than enjoyment

ICC extends Bangladesh's World T20 venue deadline to Nov 30

Quote:
Now, sources in the BCB have said it plans to finish the work by the first week of November, and host Indian state side Maharashtra at the ground to judge its readiness. Maharashtra Cricket Association president Ajay Shirke, however, said "no such proposal is in the pipeline". But Maharashtra have a break in first-class Ranji Trophy between October 30 and November 14, and given the association's severe cash crunch due to its ongoing dispute with Indian company Sahara Pariwar over title rights of the new stadium on the outskirts of Pune, it may agree to send over a team if all expenses are borne by the hosts.
Good proposal. BCB should seriously think of that.

^^ Save the money and host IRE instead in late NOV. Play some T20 and win some matches. Remember both IRE and AFG are now ahead of BD in T20 ranking!

Useless taking years, why can't they just put some more man power work day and night to finish it off.

Actually they wasted 6 months because of BCB politics. And when ICC told them they wanted the ground ready by certain date BCB woke up. I can say we are lucky that ICC have given us till 30 November to complete the work. The work is almost complete.
