Jeopardy! [Bangladesh History]
It's about time we know our own history. It's shame all of us know more about US history than our own motherland. So I am about to make learning about your own root unboring.
You know the rules. I provide you the answer, you provide the question. To make it more interesting, you can put the dollar amount to keep score of the members. Here is the first 'question':
Quote:
For $400, this martyr was awarded the highest gallantry award Bir Sreshtho for gunning down 2 'launch' and 1 speedboat and annihilating almost 2 platoon of enemy stronghold.
|
*awaits for Dr. Z to get it right* Lol

Wow! That was fast. Yup, that's correct. Being a Munshi myself I intentionally chose this! Read more here.
Shardul vai gets 400 points and gets to ask the next 'question.' :-)

This man documents his entire life on the internet. A pocket GPS is always broadcasting his location. He will post almost every copy of his debit card transactions. His entire life is an open book.

I don't know how it became 'Rouf'. In our Bangla book, it was "Abdur Rob".
Here is my question: $300
Who declared the independence of Bangladesh?
Hint: The answer depends who is the ruling party in BD

I know where you are coming from too, but let me tell you my history:
I being a good reciter of the Quran often used to be called in most of my high school programs to do the "Quran telawat part". in in our high school, from 1996-2001 we observed the National Mourning Day and National Children's Day (The birth day of the Sk. Mujeeb). Then from 2001- until I graduated, we observed National Revolution and Solidarity day and National Teachers Day (I guess it is on Zia's birthday).
The school was supposed to maintain non-political atmosphere, but we knew very well which 'Sir and Madames" were BAL and who were BNP.
Thanks God, I am now at A&M, and there are no more hovering between such ugly politics.

shardul,
tumi britti diyecho?(the 5th grade one)
I was considering it but came to US right at that time...the reward is quite ample considering the amount of hard work you have to go through...(maybe in US i am used to "higher rewards...but less effort" )

Sorry Zeeshan bhai. Please don't take any offense from my post. I just tried to prove that I do not support any team because I have noticed the mud slinging since my childhood.
