It's quite refreshing to get all these different perspectives on the occupy Shahbag movement. Hope the movement becomes a success and goes a long way toward strengthening the tenets of democracy in our country. However, if I were to start a movement today, my top 3 demands would be

শাহবাগ চত্বরটি রাজধানীর সঙ্গে মতিঝিল-গুলিস্তানের অন্যতম প্রধান যোগাযোগের সড়ক। দুটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ হাসপাতাল আছে এখানে। এ সড়ক দীর্ঘদিন বন্ধ থাকলে জনভোগান্তি হতে পারে। এ ব্যাপারে আপনাদের চিন্তাভাবনা কী, জানতে চাইলে মাহবুব বলেন, ‘বিষয়টি আমরা বিবেচনায় নিয়েছি। আমরা ভাবছি, গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সময়ে সড়কটি ছেড়ে দিয়ে আমরা কর্মসূচিগুলো ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের জাদুঘর, মৎস্য ভবনের সামনের রাস্তাসহ বিভিন্ন স্থানে ছড়িয়ে-ছিটিয়ে দেব। রাতে আবার মূল শাহবাগ চত্বরে কর্মসূচি পালন করব। আর বড় সমাবেশগুলো করব ছুটির দিনে। এভাবে দীর্ঘ মেয়াদে আন্দোলন চলবে।’

‘যুদ্ধাপরাধীদের ফাঁসি চাই’, ‘কাদের মোল্লার ফাঁসি চাই’ শাহবাগ প্রজন্ম চত্বরের প্রতিবাদের এই ধ্বনি পুরো দেশে ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে। পাঁচ দিন ধরে চলা লাখো জনতার এই স্লোগানে একাত্ম হয়েছেন জাতীয় দলের ক্রিকেটার শাহরিয়ার নাফিস।
প্রতিবাদের আগুনের আঁচে প্রতিবাদী হয়ে ওঠেন বিপিএলের খুলনা রয়েল বেঙ্গলসের এই ক্রিকেটারও। আজ শনিবার রাতে কাদের মোল্লার ফাঁসির দাবিতে বিক্ষুব্ধ জনতার মঞ্চে গিয়ে তিনি সংহতি জানান। যুদ্ধাপরাধীদের ফাঁসির দাবিতে কণ্ঠ মেলান এই বাঁহাতি ওপেনার। এ সময় বিক্ষোভকারীদের সঙ্গে তিনিও স্লোগান ধরেন, ‘জয় বাংলা’, ‘কাদের মোল্লার ফাঁসি চাই’, ‘সব যুদ্ধাপরাধীর ফাঁসি চাই’।
এ ছাড়া বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় দলের অধিনায়ক মুশফিকুর রহিমসহ আরও ক্রিকেটার শাহবাগে যেতে পারেন বলে জানা গেছে।

শাহবাগ থেকে: মৌ্লভীবাজারের শ্রীমঙ্গল উপজেলায় স্থানীয় ক্যাবল অপারেটররা শাহবাগের আন্দোলনের সঙ্গে একাত্মতা ঘোষণা করে দিগন্ত টেলিভিশনের সম্প্রচার বন্ধ করে দিয়েছে।

এরফলে রোববার থেকে ওই উপজেলায় দিগন্ত টেলিভিশনের সম্প্রচার বন্ধ থাকবে।

এদিকে এ খবর রোববার ভোর ৫টার দিকে শাহবাগের গণজাগরণ মঞ্চে ছড়িয়ে পড়লে উপস্থিত প্রতিবাদকারীরা ক্যাবল অপারেটরদের মাইকে ঘোষণার মাধ্যমে ধন্যবাদ জানান।

উল্লেখ, কাদের মোল্লাসহ সব যদ্ধাপরাধীদের ফাঁসির দাবিতে ৬ দিন ধরে শাহবাগে তরুণ প্রজন্মের ডাকে চলছে অবস্থান কর্মসূচি। এরই ধারাবাহিকতায় গত শুক্রবার কয়েক লাখ মানুষের অংশগ্রহণে শাহবাগের জাগরণ মঞ্চে এক মহাসমাবেশ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। ওই সমাবেশে প্রতিবাদকারীরা ইসলামী ব্যাংক, দিগন্ত টেলিভিশন, নয়া দিগন্তসহসহ জামায়াত সম্পৃক্ত সবকিছু ব্যবহার করা থেকে বিরত থাকার আহ্বান জানান।

এ ঘোষণার ফলে রোববার ভোর থেকে শ্রীমঙ্গলে দিগন্ত টেলিভিশনের সম্প্রচার বন্ধ করে দেয় ক্যাবল অপারেটররা।

এসব অপপ্রচারণায় শাহবাগে আন্দোলনকারীদের ইসলামের শত্রু এবং দেশ থেকে তারা ইসলাম ধর্মকে উৎখাত করতে চায়_ এমন কথাও বলা হচ্ছে। এসব প্রপাগান্ডার প্রতিবাদ করে শাহবাগের সমবেত জনতার পক্ষ থেকে বলা হয়েছে, 'অনলাইন রাজাকাররা যতই চেষ্টা করুক, যুদ্ধাপরাধীদের কোনো রেহাই নেই।' এদের বিরুদ্ধে প্রতিরোধ গড়ার জন্য জনগণের প্রতিও আহ্বান জানানো হয়েছে।

ইন্টারনেটে অপপ্রচার চালানো হচ্ছে সুকৌশলে বিভিন্ন পদ্ধতি প্রয়োগ করে। ব্লগ বা বিভিন্ন ফোরামে সাধারণত ভুয়া ছদ্মনাম নিয়ে একাধিক অ্যাকাউন্ট খুলে দেওয়া হচ্ছে পোস্ট। বাংলা, ইংরেজি উভয় ভাষায় ইন্টারনেটে চলছে এ ধরনের বেশ কিছু ওয়েবসাইট। কোনো কোনো ওয়েবসাইট দেখে বোঝাই যায় না, ১৯৭১ সালে বাংলাদেশ স্বাধীন হয়েছিল। এগুলো জামায়াতপন্থিরা পরিকল্পিতভাবে পরিচালনা করছে। 'স্টোরি অব বাংলাদেশ' ওয়েবসাইটটি দেখলে মনে হবে না, বাংলাদেশ নামে কোনো রাষ্ট্র আছে।

ওয়েবসাইটের মতো বিভিন্ন ব্লগেও চলছে শাহবাগের আন্দোলনের বিপক্ষে ও যুদ্ধাপরাধীদের পক্ষে প্রচারণা। ওয়েবসাইটের সঙ্গে ব্লগের পার্থক্য হলো, কোনো ওয়েবসাইটে ঢুকলে একজন তা দেখা ও মন্তব্য করার সুযোগ পান। কিন্তু ব্লগ বা ফোরামে মন্তব্য করার পাশাপাশি একজন নিজেও লেখা দিতে পারেন। প্রযুক্তির এই সুযোগ বেশ সুচারুভাবে কাজে লাগাচ্ছে জামায়াত-শিবিরপন্থিরা।

সামহয়ারইন ব্লগে সুশীল নামে একজন শনিবার সন্ধ্যা সাড়ে ৬টায় একটি পোস্ট দিয়েছেন, যার শিরোনাম_ 'শোনা কথার ওপর ভিত্তি করেই কাদের মোল্লার বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগ আনা হয়েছে'। ভেজাল নামের একজন লিখেছেন, শাহবাগ আন্দোলনকারীদের প্রথম ও একমাত্র দাবি ছিল যুদ্ধাপরাধীদের ফাঁসি। দাবি জানাতেই পারে যে কেউ। কিন্তু আইনের বাইরে তো কারও যাওয়া সম্ভব নয়। শাহবাগে আন্দোলনকারীরা আইন ভঙ্গ করছে।

সোনার বাংলা ব্লগে বিভিন্ন পোস্টের মাধ্যমে শাহবাগের গণআন্দোলনকে অপ্রয়োজনীয় প্রমাণ করায় ব্যস্ত রয়েছেন কয়েকজন। ব্লগের চেয়ে ফেসবুক প্রযুক্তিগতভাবে অনেক এগিয়ে। জামায়াত-শিবিরপন্থিরা এর যথেচ্ছ ব্যবহার শুরু করেছে। মুহূর্তের মধ্যে বিশ্বব্যাপী ছড়িয়ে পড়ছে দেশবিরোধী নানা প্রচারণা। প্রতিদিন ব্যক্তিনামে অসংখ্য ভুয়া অ্যাকাউন্ট খোলা হচ্ছে এসব প্রচার চালানোর জন্য। তৈরি করা হচ্ছে দল ও পাতা। এসব দল ও পাতায় আসছে একের পর এক মন্তব্য, প্রকাশ হচ্ছে লেখা ও ছবি, চলছে আলোচনা। ব্যক্তিগত ভুয়া অ্যাকাউন্টের মাধ্যমে চলছে কথোপকথন। এর মাধ্যমে মানুষকে বিভ্রান্ত করা হচ্ছে; দেওয়া হচ্ছে ভুল তথ্য।

কাদের মোল্লার ফাঁসির অভিনয় করতে গিয়ে শাহবাগে একজন মারা গেছে_ এমন একটা অপপ্রচার চালানো হচ্ছে ফেসবুকে। শাহবাগে সমবেত নারীদের নিয়েও করা হচ্ছে নানা নেতিবাচক মন্তব্য।
'বাঁশের কেল্লা' ফেসবুকের একটি পাতা। গতকাল পর্যন্ত ৩৫ হাজার ৫৪০ জন পাতাটি পছন্দ করেছেন। পাতাটিতে ১ হাজার ৫৮৫টি ছবি ও ৪৭৩টি ভিডিও লিংক রয়েছে। এই পাতার মাধ্যমে সুকৌশলে যুদ্ধাপরাধীদের বিচারের বিরুদ্ধে প্রচার চালানো হচ্ছে। এই পেজে গতকাল ফটোশপে এডিট করে বানানো একটি ছবি শেয়ার দিয়ে লেখা হয়েছে_ দিনের বেলায় যদি এই লীলাখেলা চলে, তবে রাতে কী হচ্ছে? লেখাটি ৪৫৭ জন পছন্দ করেছেন। ২৭৩ বার এটি শেয়ার হয়েছে এবং ২০৭টি কমেন্ট করা হয়েছে।

মতিঝিল স্কয়ার নামের পেজটি ৯৮৮ জন পছন্দ করেছেন। এই পেজে গতকাল নোমান নামের একজন লিখেছেন, 'স্লোগান চলবে একটাই, আন্দোলনের ঘোষণা চাই। আমরা কেন অনুমতির অপেক্ষায়! কেন আমরা জামায়াত-শিবিরের নেতাদের অনুরোধ করছি না, আজই ঘোষণা আসুক। আমরা প্রস্তুত। ঢাকা অচল করে দেব। শাহবাগকে ম্লান করে দেব।' পেজটিতে ঘোষণা দেওয়া হয়েছে_ শাহবাগিদের নিশানা, বাংলাতে আর রাখব না। সম্প্রতি ফেসবুকের মাধ্যমে খোলা 'মাইক' নামের পেজে গতকাল স্ট্যাটাস দেওয়া হয়েছে_ রাধার খোঁজে এখন শাহবাগে!!!! ডুগি তবলা বাজিয়ে আন্দোলন করতে নামছে। যাত্রার সঙ্গে তুলনা করা যায়, এটাকে আন্দোলন বলা যায় না।

'আসলে আমরা সবাই পারি, ধরা পড়লে মনে থাকে না' পেজে বৃহস্পতিবার স্ট্যাটাস দেওয়া হয়, 'ফাইনাল গোল হচ্ছে ইসলামী রাজনীতি নিষিদ্ধ করা। শয়তান নড়াচড়া দিয়া উঠেছে শাহবাগে।' 'এসো আলোর পথে' পেজে বুধবার লেখা হয়েছে, 'একটি ধর্মীয় সম্প্রদায়ের কিছু ভারতীয় এজেন্ট মিলে শাহবাগে গত দুই-চার দিনে যা করছে তাকে আর যা-ই বলা হোক, আন্দোলন বলা যাবে না।'

শুধু কাদের মোল্লার ফাঁসি দিলেই কি হবে? দেশে আরও কত সমস্যা..., শাহবাগের আন্দোলনকে সমর্থন করি, কিন্তু আন্দোলনের নামে নারী-পুরুষের অসভ্যতা সমর্থন করি না। ওইটা নাস্তিকদের আন্দোলন, আমিও ফাঁসি চাই, কিন্তু যেই আন্দোলনে নাস্তিক জাফর ইকবাল বক্তব্য দেয়, সেই আন্দোলন আমি সমর্থন করি না_ এ রকম নেতিবাচক মন্তব্য করা হয়েছে পোস্টেও।

You will find those people everywhere in Bangladesh, will cook everything to make you controversial, undermined your act. That is why you guys have to be very careful and be focused on your demand, should not take other political issues in hand I think. So far its good as long as you are focused, and those voices are bound to die down.

if a week ago somebody told me AL's gonna win d next election, I would've definetly differed with him...but now, i'm not so sure. Today was the third consecutive day i had the chance to spent few hours at Shahbag..the crowd seems to be ever enthusiastic..i couldn't help but wonder what if the lenient verdict was infact the result of a calculated strategy by AL...with these ongoing demonstrations and surge in public emotion, i doubt BNP-Jamat will manage to outpower AL in the election next year...
but again; upcoming verdict on D.H. Sayeedi (probably due on 14th february) might backfire on them...proving his crime will be toughest of 'em all and IMO it's highly unlikely he will get capital punishment...the angry crowd at shahbag won't settle for anything less than that..
