We were already going home if not only the rain against Aus that gave us an outside chance.. We are lucky to be in this position.. Aus and Eng should have been playing for the 1st and 2nd spot today..

Australia were losing to New Zealand big time!
So either way they don't deserve more than 2 points in 2 games

The same logic is applicable for Aussies, too. They were saved by the rain again Kiwis.

The lesson learnt is a friend in need is a friend indeed. In the context of cricket, I'd count on the English over the Aussies in times of need. We reached the height of success in the last world cup by beating them . They toured us without complaining about phony security issues and have now kicked out the team we needed them to beat
