I thought the match was lost even prior to that. For the aussies, the injury was the icing on the cake.

I don't know about you guyz. I have bigger concerns than just the outcome of this match. Hope this is not the beginning of another Aussie the juggernaut phase III era where they win every significant tournament final by huge margins.

common guys ..you are being very uncharitable towards the NZ's.
NZ has always been a good ODI side and probably has a better record than most countries when it comes to ICC events (world cups and Champions trophy).
They have won fair and square in the prelims and the semi-finals..I agree they are not doing a great job in the finals but if you look at WC finals from '99 you would see that they are doing more than a good job (when compared to Pak,India and SL))

McCullum killed the game actually. Taylor was a no show. Still NZ is keeping their chip up. What more do you want?
Tamim out, Ash out still BD putting up a fight. Same thing with Shakib-Mash-Rubel sidelined.

They're a good bet to make the quarterfinals or semifinals of any ICC tourney, they're even a better bet to lose to the Aussies by 7 or 8 wickets in the finals.

Hope Watson alone makes most of the runs.
Humiliation safeguarded for now.

Yes, a quick look at our recent results tells me we need more matches with the tougher opponents. This is a good team and can really shine at it's day.

Also from recent batting in T20 WC against Aussies suggest that our batting depth can handle them nicely, cookie may not crumble like the past.

Both Bond and Mills strike, this is going to be interesting.

One World: Roach, Lee already delivered 151+ few times. Bond is still at 140-145 pace.

To say Australia is little under pressure is .... 18/2 after 10 overs under the lights.

Australia 37/2 (16.0 ov)
Australia require another 164 runs with 8 wickets and 34.0 overs remaining

He deserved all that except the following.
This is more than a slap in the face.

White dropped by McCullum. This may be a big one.

Butler to White, 1 run, dropped! White goes to pull a shorter ball and makes a meal of it, all wrong with the balance, and the ball flies up off the shoulder of the bat very, very high to the leg side, McCullum runs across to his left but fails to catch it, it was hard because it was spiraling but he needed to pouch that
