Mr. Lotus Said , "Foreign Coach"

JS is our batting coach! And after so many years...58 and 78 all out.
I better think we should hire local coach in less money and invest the valuable foreign currency and vacation pays for the development of our domestic infrastructure.

What experience does any local coach have that a foreign coach wouldn't have? What does any local Bangladeshi coach know about batting against the top teams? Bangladeshi players lack in fundamentals.

Anyway, we are jumping the gun here. While the report does say that a section of the board is adamant about putting the blame on JS for the 58 and 78 and put him on the next plane there are also others who are looking past that. Most likely Siddons will be gone and I guess it is more a matter of when. The report also goes on to say that discussions ARE on going with Pont and Fountain and the boars wants to continue with them conditionally. They also seem to be wanting to renew the contract of trainer Grant Luden) but will not pick up that of the physio (Michael Henry - a victim of the Mashrafe fiasco?)
Final decisions will be made April 7.
But do note - these are all speculations from our press. And we know from past history how right they can be.

A strict coach and manager. I want to see an Ex-BKSP director(i guess they are from army) to be the next manager. Our boys need to learn some discipline.

Yes, For Bangladesh Coaches are the most important entities.
Because,
1. We don't have a proper cricket culture in BD Yet, so players depend a lot on the coaches rathar than the senior players to learn tricks & understand opponent bowlers/batsmen's mind.
2. Our players don;t come as a finished products in the national side, so it is upto the coach how good the player will be after polishing/refining.
3. If we don't have a coach who is able to teach basics to batters & prepare him for the bigger stage, our players will not show noticeable improvement, as is the case now.
4. ...

Why do I have this crazy feeling that Siddons has somehow managed to defer any blame away from himself regarding the world cup. We'll get 1 win vs. AUS and all of a sudden he will have another 4 year contract while Ian and Julian are out the door.
I really hope I'm wrong about the above.
