Default 'B' League Foreign Players Quota

The foreign players quota has been raised to 5 and all five can play in the same match. Off course one of the 5 must be goal keeper. I had been always a fan of increasing foreign quota for improvement of our football. My belief is that, we need quality footballer rathar than quantity.

Players are expressing their concern at this decision, do you think it's valid? I think it's just about money & performance of our stars that's being affected by increased quality foreign players, for which they are expressing concern. I guess Salah udding is doing the right thing by making 'B' League more competitive.

We need 15-20 quality local players to form a national team, 1000 low quality players aren't useful. They can now try to raise the bar for quality assurance of the foreign players as a next step.

Problem is that the most of the foreign players are no better than our Bangladeshi players in term of footballing skill. They are mainly brought for their physical presence. But Bukola, Emeka etc are exceptions who mainly play for bigger club.

Atm situation is so dire that if an african(not necessarily a footballer) with an impressive body go to any club in BD, he will play in the league.

Quality of foreign players are very low. Every season we can see 2/3 quality foreign players. But others have no difference with our players, sometimes worse. I have even heard that before the start of "B" league players from Africa themselves come to Dhaka and visit clubs, arrange trials to get a contract.

But yes, If the quality of player is good, I think increasing the quota is a good move. We have decreased the quota for years now, nothing has happened. Why not try the other way.
