Biman (May take a while to load)
I was browsing through some Airline websites. Ran into this site (airliners.net) where they have a huge collection of photos of almost all the Airlines of the world. A few Biman pics I liked...

I was impressed to see that Biman was quick to buy Ansett planes (in modest condition and price most likely) after the company folded.
Anyone here got any Biman stories? I have two.. Both were from Dhaka to Kathmandu... the first time, the plane was delayed for 10 hours, so my colleague and I had to spend ALL that time in the (un-furbished) Zia Airport..
second time.. the plane was RIGHT on schedule. The ride was as smooth as a whistle and service was quite good (almost too good to be true), right until about 15 minutes before landing in Kathmandu, the plane turned around and headed back to Dhaka! (something was wrong with the radar and they weren't confident in landing at Tribhavan Airport).
Although I must admit it was funny seeing three Scandanavians scared witless on the journey back.. Joy Bangla! Bangladesh Jindabad!

yOO she liked you maan.. that's why she wanted the apple.... or she was really really hungry and Biman ran out of food. ...I mean air hostesse to aar appel tar bichi collect korte ashe nai... naki ashchilo?
Jaihok, I always think the bravest hostesse are the ones in bangladesh domestic flights... they got no tv screen and she has to play out the safety features... and it's something given all quality of the passengers. All those old fools are looking at her... and who knows what the hell are they are thinking! I know what I was thinking....
"how come I got nothing under my seat, yo! that guy got two... .."

here in europe ryanair & easyjet are very popular because of their low fares. For example if u want to visit Milan(Italy) from london it costs apprx 1 pound or less than that! Is there any cheap airline in US?

I like Biman. That is, saying this after eating all the crap served in euro airlines (not to mention the ridiculous stuff they call food in US airways).
Seriously, with the right management and fleet overhaul it has a lot of potentials. Also, the situation is unfairly compounded by the sort of passengers it attracts
